Earwig And The Witch

We all love Studio Ghibli films in our family and this does feel different, however this is an excellent, fun and beautifully executed film. Our children(4 boy, 6 girl) have not wanted to watch anything else since it arrived and for them to agree for so long is a first. As adults we are still enjoying it too! Are we sad to see an end to the soft and dreamy magic of past films? Yes. Are we looking forward to what comes next! Definitely yes!

I watch all studio ghibli films in japanese with english subtitles. This proved impossible with this dvd, they were appalling and didn't match what was being said, masses of words missing. Disappointing.

How dare Ghibli make a full CG movie? Because it's wonderful, charming, funny, very faithful to the source, remarkably accurate in it's depiction of a small English town, and has a heroine who manages to be manipulative without being snide or unbearable.Just watch it, okay?But I would like to know if the creators had Richard E Grant in mind when they designed the Mandrake

Decided to buy and watch this dispite the reviews. On this occasion the reviews were right. Nice computer generated animation but a very weak story.

I believe this is a fake copied dvd. There's a symbol on my dvd player that only comes up with copied discs never had that with shop bought dvds before. The quality of the picture does not look as good as other dvds either. Beware when purchasing this.

Unexpectedly delightful CGI animation from the masters of hand-drawn epics. Kids will love it and there's plenty for adults to enjoy too. Story from the author of Howl's Moving Castle.

I got this on October and I've been waiting for "the right time to view". If you are expecting something like Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle or even Tales of Earthsea this isn't it. What this is is a cracking animated yarn that's fast paced, superb voice talent in the dub, and wonderful animation.Character designs are great especially Earwig (that hair!) with emotive facial expressions that hit the spot dead on.The musical soundtrack literally ROCKSand the tale of how a strong personality grabs a position of equality is fine.You wish to know more about l'histoire d'Earwig after the films end but I suspect the source doesn't give it and the end as is does satisfy on many levels. Only criticism I have is that skins are a bit doll like / porcelain although fabrics come over wellRECOMMENDED
