Funny niche little calender.I gave it my mum who is participating in Stoptober this year.Some of the entries are a little cringe but by and large there is some good stuff on there.A little pricy but it is a good accompanyment to someone quitting, whether it further encourages my mum to stop remains to be seen ... but fingers crossed!

I don't understand who thought this was ever going to be a good idea.Day 1:You scratch it off - it produced nearly a teaspoon of the scratch off bits so do it somewhere easy to clean.You are presented with the following:A picture (it's a good picture, nothing to complain about there) but then I read the words"It takes only 12 hours without a CIG (my capitalisation, just reading the word caused me to cringe enough to get my shoulder blades touching as I shuddered in repulsion) to normalise your oxygen levels."Great. Just when at you are least in the mood to be tolerant you've scratched off a mini lecture like a smoker hasn't been told this stuff a million times before.I'm now reduced to resenting a poster.Day 2: This steak smells like steak. In 48 hours your nose is back.Accompanied by a drawing of a steak.So? I used to smoke & I could still smell steak just fine. How is this motivational? Where is the well done or you can do it?This comes just rolled up in a box (there is a blank sheet so none of the scratch off stuff gets damaged) with no clue as to when you are supposed to scratch the stuff off or anything.At the bottom are 10 ideas to fight cravingno 1. Go for a walk.As it happens I'll give that a miss because the person who received this can't walk.Way to rub it in (although I do know the manufacturer couldn't have known that)Right.Apart from being annoying & me realising that a pile of the scratched off stuff looks quite a bit like cigarette ash I don't see how this helps in anyway to give up smoking.No congrats for trying, you can do it etc... just preachy facts & fatuous suggestions.Suggestion 2: Have sex.Thanks for that, this is now not suitable for putting up in a house with children in it & the recipient was so embarrassed they refused to have anything more to do with this product.It's in the bin.I didn't see a single thing about this that was either motivational or inspirational.It isn't fun or funny & I cannot see how it would help anyone give up smoking.It's a really high quality item, it's just a total waste of time & money which upset & embarrassed a sick elderly person who was actually trying to give up smoking.

Lovely idea to encourage to quit. Helps you keep track in the beginning when it’s the most difficult. Got this for my partner and he especially liked the ideas to fight craving. The only thing he had been doing to fight his cravings is chew nicotine gum, but he actually wants to come away from nicotine so that’s not really a great alternative, but these ideas are food for thought and actually makes him think about coming up with other ways to get rid of cravings in a healthy way. Very well made

It's not motivational, but more likely demotivational. When you are trying to quit smoking, the least you want to hear is - smoking! You don't want any reminders of smoking, because you instantly want a cigarette.This calendar is like a "racist", the only difference is that this calendar humiliates smokers.

Die Rubbelfelder sind ziemlich groß, sodass man relativ viel rubbeln muss. Die Rubbelspäne bleiben zum Teil an dem Papier haften, aber wenn man ihn aufhängt, hat man sie natürlich auch dadrunter.Die Felder sind wirklich nur für die ersten 30 Tage, da sie einen über die Fortschritte des Körpers informieren (mein Freund hatte eigentlich einen Anschluss gesucht, nachdem er die ersten 100 Tage den rauchfrei-Kalender von der BzGA hatte - aber das ist sicherlich ein seltener Wunsch). Wenn man wirklich gerade erst aufgehört hat, ist es sicherlich motivierend zu lesen, was sich alles verbessert. Die Texte sind englisch.Der Kalender hat zusätzlich unten 10 Tipps zum Umgang mit Suchtdruck, die man auch freirubbeln kann. Die Idee find ich super, die Vorschläge sind alle mittelmäßig (ACHTUNG, SPOILER: zB Musik hören, Sex haben, etc.).Insgesamt war der Kalender für uns ein Reinfall, aber über die Geste als Geschenk hat sich mein Freund trotzdem gefreut. Und kurz war’s witzig.Hilfreich? Dann freue ich mich über einen Daumen hoch.

Bonne idée pour une bonne intention. Une façon de soutenir une personne de son entourage qui souhaite arrêter de fumer.On a une affiche à gratter avec 30 jours du mois. Avec pour chaque case un message d’encouragement. Avec 10 idées pour les fois où on a vraiment envie de craquer. (Cases pas encore grattées car c’est pour offrir à une amie qui le fera le temps voulu).C'est une idée sympa qui aidera la personne à se souvenir qu’elle n’est pas seule dans sa démarche mais soutenue, par vous !La seule chose, c’est qu’il faut être bilingue (ou se servir de Google traduction !) car tout est ... en anglais !
