Apparently, Grasseed continually updates its moka pots ...
... specifically, updates its 6-tasse moka pot.As of August 2022, If you pay attention to the options under this listing [ASIN=B09NK47D5H], there are *TWO DIFFERENT* "stainless steel & glass" 6-tasse Grasseed moka pots listed, selling for the same price. We purchased the "NEW" version 6-tasse model with the D-shaped translucent handle on the upper chamber, and we are glad that we did, as it incorporates several notable improvements from the other ("old," but not so labeled) 6-tasse version. A visual inspection of the images of the two versions reveals that the thumb-flip hinged metallic top on the "old" upper chamber has been replaced by a fully removable top cap that (not obvious from the image) is kept in place by a magnet on the underside of the lid that is attracted to the top of the martensite stainless steel tube through which the brewed coffee passes to the upper chamber. That lid, incidentally, is very light in weight (not massive), and apparently is devised of a material (polycarbonate?) other than glass; the brewed coffee never touches the underside of the lid, and Grasseed assures end users that the lid contains no toxic chemical that can or will seep or leach into the brew. (We also welcome the wide top opening of the NEW Grasseed pot, which makes cleaning the pot after brewing easy.)The D-shaped handle on the upper glass chamber of the 6-tasse Grasseed is another improvement over the pistol-grip-shaped handle of the older version; a one-star review under this Amazon listing has identified a failure point in the older handle version: the manner of attachment to the upper bowl of the vertical steel backing to which the pistol-grip-shaped handle formerly was affixed. CORRECTED in the NEW version.A review from an Amazon customer in Mexico under this listing alleges that the interior of the lower chamber of the moka pot is "painted" ("painted" is the machine-generated translation of the original Spanish), and that therefore the description of the moka pot constitutes "fraud." Perhaps the reviewer (or the Amazon machine translation) is unaware of the seriousness of an allegation of fraud in United States jurisprudence; the term ought not be bandied about recklessly. In any event, we have carefully examined the interior of the lower chamber (whence the water begins its journey) of our "NEW" 6-tasse Grasseed moka pot, and see no evidence whatsoever that any paint has been applied to the surface. The interior is not *polished*, and has a relatively low reflectance due to its rough surface, but we see no reason to believe that the lower chamber is not composed of stainless steel, as Grasseed alleges it to be.Bottom line: the Grasseed moka pot is the second 6-tasse moka pot in our kitchen; it joined a years-old Italian G.A.T. "Konica" moka pot in our collection. The Grasseed moka pot, as does the G.A.T. moka pot, brews coffee with energy supplied by our induction cooktop via the moka pot's (magnetically permeable) martensite steel bottom plate, and the moka pots of both brands brew equally delicious coffee. We purchased the Grasseed "NEW" 6-tasse model with confidence, and our faith has been proven fully justified by our experience in the field.Recommended.UPDATE 2023 March:We have been using our Grasseed "NEW" 6-tasse moka pot for over eight months to date, and, while we can reaffirm all of the positive comments that we made in the initial review above, we have found one design flaw. The lid of the upper chamber of the pot, made of a clear plastic with a small magnet on the underside that gloms onto the central tube that conveys the hot water from the lower chamber, cracks and, over time, breaks into pieces. If you park your car in the sunshine frequently, you know the problem: the vinyl of the dashboard gets hard and cracks. The same has happened to the lid of our moka pot.We have taken good care of our Grasseed moka pot, and always have washed its component parts by hand, never putting any of the parts into the dishwasher. Still, our moka pot's top has crazed, and pieces of it have broken off in normal use. We have contacted the maker directly to see if we can get a replacement.

First coffee brewing tool that I didn’t regret buying
I’ve bought so many coffee machines and brewing accessories. It was all either taste bad or hard to manage. I’m not trying to compare this to very expensive espresso machine at all. This takes about 5-10 minutes to have coffee, it taste good. And everyone should try pouring coffee over vanilla ice cream, it’s soooooooooooo good. It’s not the easiest thing to clean but there is no spot you can’t reach with a sponge. It’s better since the top is glass and you can see how dirty it is or to see if the coffee is ready. This would be a good gift too.

Great Product
I read a bunch of not so good reviews on this but decided to get it anyway. It replaces a 16 yr old Vev Vigano made in Italy Moka Pot. The glass is what sold it. I would have given it 5 stars but there was one problem: a bad mismatch of the treads securing the pot to the water reservoir. I got around this by using a cotton swab dipped in mineral oil and coating the threads. This helped a lot, but I had to make very sure the top was screwed down tight. I missed once and it leaked. Over time, I have had it a while now, the threads are almost perfect without needing to be oiled any more. I believe if the Grass Seed people would address this problem at the factory they would get a lot less questions and reviews that are less than 4 or 5 stars. Soon I will buy one of their 6 cup pots.

To expensive, Low quality
The media could not be loaded. I don’t used it not even one month, and this item is already broken and the lid is plastic and getting melted, it’s look really ugly. I’m really disappointed with the quality of this product.

Best little mocha pot!
I've used mocha pots all my life. I finally decided to get a glass top one. That was one of the best choices I ever made. There's not one thing wrong with it. People who said it leaks must close it too tightly. I barely tighten the top. As far as coffee level, it depends on my taste that day. If I want a lot I fill up with water even pass the mark and over stuff the coffee holder, but loosely. Never a problem!! I think some people just don't know how to use a Latino mocha pot. This one is definitely A++++

Buen producto
Buen producto.

Fraude.
