Lid not a secure fit, it leaks whenever you poor. As with most of these, you should be able to rotate the lid to seal and keep the heat in.. good luck with this model.. Disappointed, I thought that I was buying a mid range item.. Mistake! my advise, spent a bit more money and get a better one!

This product arrived well packaged by Amazon but despite this the glass jug was smashed. The metal frame was rough and one of the uprights wast riveted onto the rim. The scoof is so rough I cut my finger getting it out of the packaging. Would not recommend. Definitely getting the well known brand Bodum now.

This product is microwave compatible which is important because I like to unscrew it and give it a good clean after each use. This is a very solid product, and the stirrer is a useful add-on. All in all, very good value for money.
