In reading other reviews I read how this worked on many other cars than the Toyota listed in the ad. For ~$12 and getting it the next day, verses the Ford one that looks almost identical that was ~$45 and will take a week, I figured I'd give it a shot. The outer dimensions and shape of the ford piece I had in my hand are similar to the one in the picture in the ad, but the mounting slots that let it slide over the tabs on the sensor are in a different place on 1 side (right side in the pic, top in the sensor).Knowing that these tabs don't hold it on in any way and are just there to guide it on correctly (but the oval shape does that anyway), I just removed the 1 tab that was different on my Ford sensor with a razor knife and slid this piece on. It fit perfect and I was able to read resistance of the sensor, so I then wired it up and was done. I could then say "Goodbye" MIL caused by a rodent chewing wires. This is a good piece and was able to work on a 2017 Ford Super Duty trucks secondary ECT (ECT2) with slight modification of the sensor, you just have to trim the tab on the top of the sensor as mounted in the truck.

2002 Toyota 4runner 3VZE ECT Sensor Harness
Perfect fit for an 02 4runner engine coolant temp sensor. Wires are tinned copper and easy to solder. Density of the plastic connector housing seems to be good. Should last another 20 years. Delivered next-day over the weekend.

I had pulled the prongs out of my temperature sender ...
I had pulled the prongs out of my temperature sender for a 1998 Mazda b2500/Ford Ranger and wanted to replace the connector. This is ALMOST an exact fit, but one of the side cuts for the fitting does not align with the actual part. No problem though, you can either jam it on anyway or just take a knife and cut the plastic along the side of the temperature sender so it can slide on.

Fit like OEM
Exactly what I needed. Worked like a charm. Wish it would have been just an inch or two longer for my particular placement, but it spliced well and fixed my problem. Recommend butt connectors to splice and heat shrink tubing to protect splices. Wrapped it back into the loom and back on the road. 2005 Toyota Corolla

Had to swap the wires, but connector itself worked.
[ 1994 | Toyota | Pickup | 22R-E ]The wires weren't bare copper, and this was causing issues with my original wiring, so I had to pop the pins and replace them, but it fit perfectly otherwise.

Direct fit for 3VZE
I snapped the coolant temperature sensor on my 1990 Toyota 4runner with the 3.0l engine. I purchased a replacement sensor (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Fit 89422-20010 from DOICOO shipped by Amazon) for the snapped part. Prior to installation I checked to ensure the new sensor fit the wiring harness (which it did) and decided the wires at the harness connection were too brittle to trust. Which brings us to the part being reviewed. This pigtail fit the new sensor perfectly...as well as being a perfect match for the original. The wire gauge was heavier than the wiring harness and the pigtail was long enough to splice into the harness well back from my damaged section. It was constructed with the same weather-proofing as the original (rubber grommets where the wires enter and a rubber seal where the sensor connects). I don't know how it will hold up to the heat of the engine bay, but initial fit and finish are OEM.
