dillion 18" Antique Pirate Sword with Skull and Crossbones Hilt

um...this sword is one piece of molded plastic. ONE piece. It can't "be loose" or "break apart" at the hilt. Perhaps the design was changed since those reviews were written--otherwise they were reviewing some other product.Also, I don't see how it is a choking hazard...maybe if your child tried to sword-swallow they might choke. But there are no small pieces. (One piece!) The skull eyes are paint not jewels.It is a little small for the adult hand, but as part of a pirate Halloween costume it is spot on funny. May be a bit expensive here for what you get, but it's worth 5 bucks.

Very lightweight and easy for my daughter to hold. I thought the picture was a little misleading in that the eyes on the skull looked like plastic jewels in the picture, which gave it a more authentic look, but the eyes on the one you get are just an orange-red splotch of paint. But it is inexpensive and serves its purpose as an addition to a pirate costume.

Ok, if you're going to have "real" battles then these plastic swords might not last. They are a smaller (18") version of a bigger sword constructed in a similar manner. That means you might need to "rivit" the handle onto the blade for abusive play. But overall, these are fantastic pirate swords and amazingly real! Would highly recommend for adult (or child) pirate parties!

This is exactly what you order. A nice plastic pirate sword great with my pirate halloween costume. Has nice detail and a skull with d eyes on it. Tied it onto my belt and it was a hit. Light weight and didn't look to cheap.
