Candy Raisins, Bulk Size, (1 lb. Resealable Zip Lock Stand Up Bag)

I was so happy to see candy raisins are available again. I know that some batches of a product can be different than others, but the one I got was very good. The taste was great, and so was the texture. Yes, the price is much higher, but let's hope that will come down as sales grow.

My mom loves these so she has me order them cause we can't find them anywhere else.

This is the ONLY place I could find this candy that I’d enjoyed in my youth, half a century ago.ITS NOT QUITE what the original candy tasted like, but it’s close. The original candy raisins were made in Peawaukee, Wis. I’ve heard that the family will not produce it anymore or, share the recipe.What a shame. Still, this is close and it’s ok.

They've been sitting a while. The flavor is good, very good, but not quite like the original flavor I grew up with which had a tang to it that was reminiscent of the Violets hard candy or even a slight soapy taste (sounds gross I know, but it really was good).Still, they're the only ones around.P.S. They're $4/lb cheaper from the suppliers web site.

As a child this was my favorite candy. While the flavor is familiar, the texture is not. They are very hard which makes them difficult to eat. They’re more like a hard gummy candy.This is a second purchase. More than a year ago I ordered them. They were hard then also. I ended up throwing them away. This time I thought I’d try again, hoping the first batch was just bad. The second batch was equally bad. I won’t waste the money again!
