This is my first waterproof set of these 5050 LED strips. I have a bunch of the non-waterproof kind. I find these to be of the same quality, light wise, but a bit easier to work with. The waterproof coating makes them kind of rubbery and easy to manipulate, whereas the standard ones can easily get kinks in them.The only thing to keep in mind is that these will be harder to cut and splice. If you plan on doing that, you'll need to strip away the protective coating first.Oh, and they don't have 3M adhesive backing tape. Instead, they just have 'M' backing. Turns out you'll want another two M's if you want them to stick for more than 10 seconds. Just use clear packing tape over the whole strip. That way you can re-apply the lights somewhere else if you want.

Great product! This is used as an aquarium light for my 55 gallon, as other manufactured "aquarium" lights, are too expensive. I wrapped the lights around a pole and put the pole into a light fixture I had lying around.This was definitely the best way to go. It was cheap and better than brand aquarium lights. I could change the colors and brightness according to the time of day and when people came over.The only downside is the length of the receiver cable and the adhesive on the led lights. I'd prefer a longer receiver cable length and the adhesive is awful.

Although the first unit I received was defective, the seller was super quick to troubleshoot and send out a new one on the spot. New one works great and is easy to use. Remote is responsive, color cycling is smooth and vibrant. Very happy with this purchase.Top Tip: Adhesive in the back of these works pretty well so long as the surface it is going on is clean and smooth. I prepped my tv stand with 70 percent isopropyl alcohol and let it dry before applying the led strip. If you're trying to stick these to a textured wall, I'd look at a foam based adhesive strip if you want them to stay put.

I am remodeling my house and I wanted to run LED lighting along my stairs. Recently having done my kitchen over, I have learned that the brick and mortal stores like Home Depot and Lowes cost a fortune for LED lighting. Home Depot in particular wants $45~ for an 8 foot strip of color changing LED lights by Commercial Electric just like this. Seeing the massive price tags on their lighting, I went to look elsewhere and found this Sokani LED light strip pack on Amazon for only $20 bucks. They give you a generous 16.4 ft of lighting and a wireless remote. Almost seemed too good to be true, but I ordered two of them.I have to say, I am really happy with these lights. They look great, the colors are awesome, the dimmable setting works really well, and all in all this product is just fantastic. They generate low heat (as expected for LED's) and the remote works well, and contains a battery so if it ever does dead you can replace it.A few nuances I docked a star for. Number one, the double stick tape on these (or whatever it is) it garbage. It barely sticks at all, and I ended up having to use some Loctite Powergrab adhesive under these to make them stick under my moldings. Number two; I don't like the white lighting on these; it looks more blue. Additionally this doesn't seem to have natural looking yellow/white lighting colors in the 2700-3000k ranges. I still have to play with the remote, but so far I can only get a citrus-green color when trying to get a yellow color out of them.All in all, great product, phenomenal price. Absolutely blows away the competition and brick and mortal stores. I would be willing to pay an extra $5~ if they used some better adhesive on them.

Really cool little package of LED lights! So easy to use with all different colors and you can literally put them anywhere. Great price too! I will definitely be buying more of these for my shop and even my home. Love!! Great product.

If they would stop flashing I would be able to use them as I intended to, but at this point I might as well return them. Not sure if they're defective or I haven't operated the remote correctly.Edit: I never got a response, so I bought a new power supply, and it works fine. But it would have been nice for the seller to give this option.

Love, love these lights. They look so good! I put them under my counter that separates the breakfast room and the kitchen. Looks so cool.

Favorite LED stripping I have bought yet. Only downfall is the tackiness of the tape on the backside. Overall, LEDS work great- very bright and multiple colors to pick from.
