Service Life, 500 circulation charges and discharges; measured capacity ≥ 80% of nominal capacity Dimension, 96×60×15(mm) Net Weight, 180g ■ Installation of Lithium Battery Pack & Charging Hatch Brand label of the WLB-817S lithium battery pack should be stuck on the battery compartment outwards and the battery pack is mounted into this compartment. After the lead of battery pack is inserted into the BAT socket of CH-817S charging hatch and the outgoing line of P+/P- charging hatch is butted into the supply line of FT-817 FT-818 battery, they are buckled into the battery hatch. Both the charging socket of battery hatch and the power switch go beyond the machine bottom plane which is pasted with matched hemisphere mats to raise the machine. ■ Charging of Lithium Battery Pack The FT-817 built-in short-wave reception is designed for original Ni-Mh battery packs. As their charging voltages and modes are both in nonconformity with WLB-817S, their built-in charging function is forbidden from charging the lithium battery pack. It is safe to disconnect FT-817 from the external power source when lithium battery pack is adopted. In other words, power cannot be supplied from DC IN at the trailing end of radio. OR, the power switch of charging hatch is pushed to OFF position at the time of using the external power source.
