Moroccan Pouf Ottomans Hand Made Leather Luxury Footstools Cover Yellow

The pros - this is a great looking ottoman cover. It’s just like the picture, a nice golden yellow and the design is nicely detailed. It feels substantial and well made. The con - the smell. I strongly recommend learning about traditional tanning processes before making your decision. Another reviewer mentioned a slight odor and I assumed chemical treatment or dyes but it’s actually a strong animal waste odor. As soon as I unpacked it my dog started cowering away from it like she was scared and the smell just filled the room. I put it on my covered porch overnight and even outdoors it was noticeable and foul. There are home remedies you can find online but I didn’t want to take the chance of making it unreturnable so I opted to return. I hate to disparage a traditional craft, and clearly the workmanship was there, but I just couldn’t move past the smell.

These are beautiful. The color is more mustard like I had hoped and less yellow. I ordered 2 and both came damaged. Since they took so long to get here, I don’t want to send them back and wait for that long so hoping I can patch the holes from the inside so they will still hold the beads.

I love this pouf and what a deal! It comes in a big envelope - surprise! And it came super fast, like 4 days with free shipping! I stuffed it with some shredded towels and T-shirt’s and layered some polyfill in at the bottom (which turned over became the top), the middle and on top. Top: when you think you’ve stuffed enough then stuff some more!

Beautiful ottoman, and well made. I knocked off a start because it smells quite terrible. That's been fading, though (over a couple of months).

Love it! Mine did not have an “odor” at all. Stuffed it with some towels and it is perfect!
