If you’re fortunate enough to live near any of the Bar44 tapas restaurants in Cardiff Penarth and Clifton, you will instantly feel at home delving into this gorgeous encyclopaedia of all things Spanish. As with the food and wines they serve, the family have kept painstakingly to authenticity. The dedication to their skill shines out in the pages and the mouthwatering photos of this wonderful page turner. I cannot recommend this highly enough to anyone looking for Xmas presents this year for foodies. Thank you Morgan family for all that you do. So glad and so very relieved the brand has survived the last hard few years and look forward to the sequel! Wonderful.

Fantastic book. Bought on recommendation from reviews - never been to a Bar 44. Mouth-watering recipes and fantastic stories, with tips to go alongside. I'm confident I'll make at least 50% of the recipes, and the rest were exciting and inspiring. A few ingredients will be harder to source, but the book arrived today and we could try it out immediately, making the jamon croquettas and sticky chicken oysters (using chicken thighs instead). Both awesome. Yum!!! Can't wait to try more recipes, get sherries to match, and enjoy the restaurants in person when we get chance.

I returned this book. After a quick look through I couldn’t relate it to the favourite tapas recipes I remember. No Albóndigas? Come on! I guess my tastes are quite basic compared to the books.The amount of space devoted to Sherry was also not required in my opinion.But others will enjoy this, it’s just a matter of what part of Spain you have visited in the past. Just don’t expect basic everyday Spanish fare.

Love this book - simple ideas for lovely suppers featuring recipes you don’t need a degree in dark culinary arts to make. All delicious.

I wasn't too sure what to expect, but now that I've got it, I'm very happy with it. Some lovely twists on classic tapas, and other dishes. Much more than just a tapas book, and great drink suggestions as well, if you can find them.

Given to friends as a present. They were really happy.

Loved the recipes, the story, the photographs. Have already made several of the recipes.
