I purchased cherry, pecan, and hickory for smoking. I tried all three for pork ribs and by far the pecan was my favorite. I will always use this product for my smoked pork ribs.As far as quality of the pellets, no dust, excellent value and well worth it! I was worried about shipping and the pellets breaking in the process, but they arrived in excellent shape! Highly recommend.

I’m happy with the performance, packaging, and most importantly, the smoke flavor the pecan gives. However, when I got towards the bottom of the bag, it seemed like this one had more dust than other brands. Which I expected the opposite, considering this is a big name brand. I don’t know if it was because it was shipped in a box and maybe that crumbled some of the pellets or what. But I’ll be buying some from the store next time where I can see that the pellets aren’t damaged.

I’ve always had great results with Traeger brand pellets. Very consistent clean burn.Some of the other brands have been hit and miss - you should not have wood dust coming up on your food and I have never had those problems with Traeger pellets.
