Caitec Paradise Stainless Steel Baffle Pet Cage, Large

I ordered 5 to fill with large tree nuts in the shell. They are much lighter than the powder coated wrought iron one I got at a Bird Mart 10 years ago. If you have a larger bird that needs a recovery collar, a "nut cage" insures that your bird gets nutrition, foraging enrichment, and boredom relief ( you can fill it with large wood blocks). The lighter weight won't stress the cage bars (even well made surgical stainless steel will bend over time).One of the cages had several broken welds and two of the encircling rings were completely unattached. It was one of two in a box with a couple of other items. Two others were in a box with only two air pillows. One arrived in a regular non-padded envelope with nothing else.The welds on these cages will NOT hold up for long under the beaks of a medium sized parrot or cockatoo. Don't even think about it for even a smaller macaw! There are also some rough, sharp edges. I'm sorry, but for the safety of your beloved feathered companion I can't really recommend these particular ones.

The Product has serious design flaws, do not use, Macaws will get tongue's stuck and ripped off between bottom piece and top. It happened to us and others. Beware!

My Moluccan loves this thing. Funny enough it was one of the easier toys to introduce her to.The only issue I had was upon receiving the toy the weld points of the cage were sharp. I had to file them smooth so that my bird wouldn't cut her feet on it or her mouth and tongue. Please check all toys before giving them to your bird.

Product looked a little beat up. Product tag was taped to the actual product. Missing the clip to attach to cage that is clearly is the product picture. Now I need to buy clips to hang this and cant use it right away
