My first impression is that this is a well made prodict. The handle is a heavy fishong rod handle, the grip is tough and has a nice feel. There are no rivits to hold the gaff to the handle, I hope it is durable, looks good so far.

Looking for a tool that won’t corrode with heavy salt water fish.Use it on grouper, barracuda, mostly ten to twenty lb range.Great for my center console.

This gaffe is pretty good except the hook angle isn’t bent enough. If you are trying to gaffe fish be sure you pay attention to the hook angle. It’s easy to miss your fish with the angle it is now.

Sturdy, brand new. Everything as described. Looking forward to taking it out for a trial.

Solid design , looks and feels great but seems a bit big for a kayak . Maybe good for a backup gaff on a boat .

One star off because it had a "made in China" sticker on it and we all now those darn communist just shouldn't be supported. Guess I didn't notice when I ordered. The product is sturdy, long, one piece with a long, thick handle. Sharp, excellent angle and big hook. Specifically think giant northerns, trout, and those big walleyes that just won't come up. Three feet long is excellent in my opinion. Ice is often close to two feet so have at it. China is terrible but this is a good product. Most reviews from salt water guys who know about as much about ice fishing as I do gaffing tuna. Northern Pike/Muskie/Lake Trout/Pig Walleye beware.
