It’s okay for speech- best we can find these days
If you unscrew the tongue, you can manipulate the tongue somewhat to model for speech. The hinges are holding up fairly well, but I’m not sure how long this would last in a larger classroom or with a lot of day to day handling.

Great Speech Therapy Tool
I bought this as a visual support for my speech therapy students. It is easy to open and close. I really like the accuracy of the alveolar ridge and bumps on the back of the tongue. The tongue can be removed with a screw if you are using this as a visual cue like me for speech! It is not bendable but it is a big enough model to use your hand or play-doh with.
