I am in the medical curtain business and looking at this photo it is easy to see no Fire Marshal in the U.S. will allow this curtain to hang in a medical facility. The top-mesh is required by U.S. fire code NFPA701 to be 70% open 20" vertical down from the bottom of the sprinkler head. Visually you can see the approximate 6"-8" of solid green fabric a the top would automatically put this curtain in violation of the code. There are two reasons for that: (1). In the event the fire sprinkler is activated the 70% open requirement is that the water from the sprinkler head, as you clearly see in the photo, must be able to penetrate the top-mesh and put out any fire. (2). If patient is laying in bed and the fire alarm is activated the patient must have a clear view of the exit sign in the room. 70% open factor is what every Fire Marshal requires. This curtain is typical of medical curtains made in China; they do not follow U.S. fire codes. Also, the Fire Marshall will ask to see "Flame-Spread" Certificate certifying that the fabric meets U.S. fire code...no Certificate no hanging of the curtain in any public or private medical facility....could be expensive if you buy a lot of these.
