Limited versatility.
This is 2 items sold together, NOT a pairing made to use together!! The vise will not fit in the horizontal orientation and has limited application or space to use in the vertical orientation.

Good for the price
I had to do some tweaking on the vise. The slide is decent, I modified the base to fit on my lathe, I’m able to do some light milling. The t-slots are an odd size, the t-nuts that fit it are a little too tall, had to cut them down.

Missing parts and poor design
When I first received the product it was missing the T-slot nuts and bolts to hold the vise. The company offered to reimburse $10 if I ordered the parts from them. They do not appear to sell these parts individually, so I had to order them elsewhere for $15 without reimbursement. If you have the same issue, the proper size T-slot nut is an M8, but you'll have to file them a bit to fit.Weeks later, when I get the nuts and am ready to test, I find that this is a poorly designed tool. The crank handle to turn the lead screw simply unscrews itself if your use it in the counter-clockwise direction. The handle itself is just threaded onto the end through a closed hole, so there is no end-nut for it press against, nor any option to add one. I'm hoping to be able to modify it to work, but as it is, I have to use a wrench on the metered gauge if I want to raise the mill. This is a huge sacrifice of accuracy and safety. This seems like such a simple design oversight, it's almost unbelievable. Once I get a functional handle on it I think it will be a decent tool.I am using an old 12" Atlas. It is straight forward to fit the mill to the tool-post slot, but I'll likely have to mount the vise to an adapter plate most of the time as the base of the mill does not drop very far bellow my center. I kind of expected this, but thought anyone else with an old-timey machine might like to be aware.EDIT: After several months, I've had to come back to continue complaining about the poor design of this product. Not only are the crank and lead screw for the vertical slide improperly coupled, so too are the cranks and lead screw of the vise itself. Eventually the crank of the vise started slipping, such that I can't close the vise tighter than finger grip. Upon investigation I see there is almost nothing coupling these two parts. It's a wonder it was ever able to get decent grip in the first place. I should be able to tap a set screw to hold them together. Then maybe I'll have finally made this a usable tool.

Useful tool for milling on the lathe
Works as expected on a mini lathe. T slots are very small, had to make custom nuts to fit in the slots. Still glad I have it.
