Watercolor Brush Pens

Fun product and great value
The seller sent an email before the product arrived with several tips on how to best produce a positive result. These pens are very versatile and can be used on there own or with other watercolor products you may already have. The color vibrancy and blending qualities add an element of brightness and pigmentation without a lot of heaviness. They are so much fun to experiment with and useful for any level of artist from beginner to professional. The price was a great value and shipping was very fast. I also purchased the nylon nib set and the two are a great complement to each other. Attached is a quick painting I did with these pens to show the vibrancy and control these pens can offer.

I'm loving these pens! I haven't done watercolor painting ...
I'm loving these pens! I haven't done watercolor painting for a long time and recently decided to pick it up again. These pens are so much more convenient than buying the regular watercolor paint and palette. They create less of a mess, and I don't have to worry about washing the palette. To make the artwork more like watercolor, I dipped a brush in water and brushed over the artwork after I pained with these pens. I'm still getting used to this new method but it's made my life so much easier to do watercolor!I also bought the Canson watercolor pad from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Watercolor-Pad-X12-Fold-Over/dp/B004M59O4C) to paint on. It's great for absorbing the watercolor.

LOOOOOVE these marker pens!
Trying to find brush markers...REAL brush markers, at an affordable price for us newer colorists is nearly impossible. I say nearly instead of just plain impossible because EUREKA! THESE ARE REAL!!! And they are the second REAL BRUSHES in a day that I can actually afford that I found! THESE however, edge out the others because of its shape. It looked so weird to me when I first saw it, but once it was in my hands my fingers curled around as if reaching for its mother. The comfort was like it was made for my hand! The colors are rich and did I mention it's a REAL brush tip??! I'm so excited! Lol

Blending colors and writing calligraphy work great with these brushes.
Picked up these pens for my wife who likes to paint with water colors. She is really enjoying the product and it works as expected. We saw a Japanese video that featured water color pens and since we been actively looking for some that worked like in the video. Well, these work like we saw in the video. You can blend the shades together to create new colors and the tips are perfect for calligraphy. She has been using them in her Lost Ocean coloring book and they work great!Customer service was top notch as well and were very responsive. If I have any issues with the product, which I don't, I know they'll take care of it for me.

Loads Of Fun to Work With!
A fun set of art supplies! I used these for underpainting an oil pastel, and they were very vibrantly pigmented showing their bright colors through the little spaces that weren’t covered in oil pastel. I also used them with fineliner pens, and was happy with that result as well. I’m sure they would be great all by themselves, I just haven’t used them in that way yet. You can get bright color using without water, and you can get a great wash effect with water. For laying down a wash, I found that dipping the tip of the pen in water first was a much better method than laying down the pure color, and then trying to use a watercolor brush to spread it out. It dries fairly quick, and it’s much harder to move the color once it’s dried into the paper.

One broken brush marker in bag
I am beyond disappointed. I wanted to love these. Problem is, I did not get the set of these lovely looking brush markers. No, I got a dirty plastic case (that the markers would be in) and one broken (into pieces) pink brush marker. The plastic bag it came in was sealed so all I can guess is that it was sent out like this on purpose. On top of that, I wasn't even able to ask for a replacement, only initiate a refund. I'm so disappointed as I had really been looking forward to these.

They do work better dipping in water first
Not at all what I expected and quite odd to use. I wouldn't consider them an actual artist's tool. You can't squeeze to get more paint out and the tips are far too dry for traditional wet watercolor look. They do work better dipping in water first, of course that dilutes the color, but makes them more usable, in my opinion. Better for kids maybe.
