Space Ghost (New Edition)

A serious version of the classic hero
WARNING, THIS REVIEW DOES CONTAIN SOME SPOILERS. While only recently discovering Space Ghost I am a big fan, his costume, abilities, and voice have forced me to be. This isn't for the Coast to coast fans out there, or the Brak show fans, this is for fans of the old 60s and 80s character(he was a character in space stars during the eighties). While this book doesn't show much of Space Ghosts personality (a problem other reviewers had), it wasn't a bad thing, because in reality, it was showing how he got that way, sure he's broody and dark for the majority of the comic, but in the end he was starting to warm up, even getting friendly to the kids, Jan and Jace (he wasn't mean to Blip because Blip never showed up). All in all, I found this to be an amazing comic with beautiful art and great storytelling. The inner conflict, the drama, the action, the pain the Space Ghost goes through to get revenge and serve justice. Well worth the coin, I recommend this wholeheartedly to any fan of Superheroes, revenge stories, or Science Fiction.

A hidden Gem
It makes Space ghost a serious superhero again. The Art is well done in my belief. The story I found to be good if not predicable. Still, I enjoyed this book and if you're a fan of space ghost it may be worth a read.

Great origin story for a beloved hero
Great origin tale was a lot darker than I would’ve imagined, but hey this is DC comics right! Loved the artwork, this book left me wanting more I do hope they incorporate another installment. This is a great addition to your TPB collection!

Making Space Ghost great again.
When I saw that DC had acquired the Space Ghost franchise I was elated. I grew up with these characters and they are just too damned good to slip in obscurity. I sincerely hope DC begins to make animated movies with live action in the not to distant future. All the characters, hero and villain alike, were well thought out by Alex Toth even if 60's animation couldn't do it proper justice.

Spaccccccccccce Ghoooooooooooossssssttttttttt!
Brilliantly written and beautifully drawn. I hated it ended. Honestly I would love a follow up series. One of the best "Origin" stories I've ever read. Loved it.

A thrilling retro sci-fi romp
As someone with basically no knowledge of Space Ghost, I went into this with only a little bit of positive word of mouth and some interesting looking screenshots, and found a fantastic origin story for a pulpy sci-fi hero and some truly gorgeous artwork that really elevated Joe Kelly's already very solid writing. Definitely recommended if you like a good, simple, but very satisfying superhero origin story. Looks like I should go check out that old cartoon.

This was worth the wait
The origin of one of the most beloved Saturday morning cartoon heros in comic book form! I have been a fan of Space Ghost for just about a long as I can remember and I have the say the writing team at DC comics did a fantastic job with the origin of Space Ghost! I would say more but that would be spoiling the story. Guess you'll just have to get a copy for yourselves. But once again thanks for reading and have a nice day!

A Great Origin Story
This is not your campy Space Ghost, but a down and gritty grown up story. Love, Revenge, followed by regret, and acceptance. This left me wanting more. Awesome detailed art and story line. I really hope this story line continues.

A great origin story of a hero I used to watch on television in my childhood.

I don’t recommend
It was a waste of my time. The best part are the covers made by Alex Ross. Super hard to read it and the drawings are super without agility
