Recommended for hygienic cleansing for skin renewal in delicate areas!
I have been using this product for 18 months now, as recommended by my colo-rectal surgeon for "delicate skin" renewal when you must go to the bathroom or sitz bath frequently. It works very well. It is soothing, with a very mild scent, and a thin enough consistency that will not "clog" skin pores or other delicate areas. Have one in each bathroom, and the on-the-go packets in my purse for when I am out and about.

Great portable number two bathroom probelm solver!
This gentle cleansing cream is a benefit for anyone who suffers from number two bathroom issues. It is soothing, very light scent, very portable, does not sting, allows area to be cleaned and stay just dry enough but moisturized enough to heal, lessen irritation and itching.Additionally, it is especially great for us lady's monthly needs. Recommend cleaning the area with TP or wet bathroom wipes first and follow with this on some TP. It eliminates odor...not just cover it up; it cleanses the area and soothes irritation and helps it heal. And a little bit goes a long way. Just a little bit on some TP clean the area and repeat if needed.

This product has probably saved more lives than a suicide hotline
I am 47 and I have suffered from anal itching since at least my 20's, if not my teens. Sometimes it would go away for a while, always to return. I didn't know what caused it. And if you look up pruritis ani (the medical term for it), there are dozens of causes. Over the years I thought I had worms, fungal infections, you name it. I tried everything. I got the best relief from prescription steroid cream, but shortly after stopping the cream, the itching would come back. And steroid creams aren't safe for long term use. They can thin the skin. And lest you think this is a minor annoyance, I wanted to shove a wire brush up my backside. That's how bad it is. It is a serious quality of life issue.Well, sometime in my mid-40's I figured out what my problem was. I am apparently sensitive to even a molecule of stool being left on my skin. Because I got news for you. You wipe with toilet paper. And after a few wipes, there's no more smudges on the toilet paper. It looks clean. But there's still A LOT of stool still on your skin. Now, a lot of people are not sensitive to that. But based on these reviews there are lots of people who are, and I'm one of them. And this lotion is a lifesaver. I'm always amazed every time I use it. I wipe until the toilet paper is clean. Then I put a dab of this on some toilet paper and wipe. There'll be A LOT of stool come off onto the paper. WTF? Where was this stool hiding out? In the nooks and crannies of the anus? I'm always amazed. Here's a tip for the ladies: We're supposed to wipe from front to back to avoid getting fecal bacteria into the vaginal area. But I find that most of my itching happened at the part of the anus closest to the vagina, and if I use the Balneol from back to front, I can get more of the stool off. I think all the folds and whatnot at that part of my anus trap more stool. Be careful to stop before you go to far, but I do find that if I do a couple wipes from back to front (while doing most of them from front to back like I'm supposed to), I get all the stool off and the itching is a distant memory.

It works!
I went to my Gastroenterologyst for some ailment in the neither part... I clear, I have had an itch there since about 30 years that is associated with hemorrhoids. I told her that I have tried lots of products, some efficient but having the tendency to thin out the skin and make things potentially worst in a long term, some completely useless.I then proceeded to explain her that had made my own ointment with honey and some baby cream that was apparently working but a bit messy to apply. She then told me: I have the answer for you and you are going to love me for suggesting it: Balneol. So I went and bought one bottle in Walgreen and thought immediately that the bottle was small and expensive at about $20 the bottle.Which brought me to my usual answer when searching for cheaper prices: Amazon...It is indeed cheaper with Amazon... And I was suprised to see almost only glowing reviews about it.Anyway, after this long introduction, onto the product review:What I like:- It smells good, like Nivea cream- It is not greasy- It is not sticky- It is not messy- You only need a little at a time so the bottle last much longer than I would have thought.- It is easy to apply- IT WORKS! Meaning, it relieves itches and help the skin to heal. What I like less:- It is not cheapIn conclusion:If you have like me been searching for an answer to itches: Do not search anymore, try Balneol...

Works great, bottle isn't the best.
This stuff is great for fissures or any other kind of pain/issue "down there". Really does seem to clean too. The only annoying thing is that the bottle is pretty small for the price. It also seems like it's hard to get all of the product out and makes that lovely squish sound when you're squeezing it out of the tube (not very discreet for public toilet use)

Don’t waste your money
Don’t waste your money, the product does absolutely nothing! My bottles arrived and looked used, cream spread on outside and someone had tried to wipe it. I don’t know if these bottles are meant to be sealed but they were not.
