Beautiful but challenging product.
We bought these to use in the centerpieces for my daughters wedding not fully understanding what made them float. When I got the package with the float gels, I soon learned. First let me say that the pearls are just beautiful. I wish more came in the package, but they are much nicer than I even expected. That said, we will not be floating them in the water vases as we planned. You have to soak the gels in water for a day or two before. The day of you layer in the pearls and saturated water bubbles and then top it off with more water to get the full effect. Since we don't have access to the venue until the day of the wedding, that would mean moving gallons and gallons of pre-soaked water bubbles in ice chests. We decided instead to just scatter them as decor on the tables. Interestingly, some of the beads do float without the bubbles, but most don't. They also floated either at the very top or stayed at the bottom, so it didn't create the layered looked we wanted without the bubbles and it was very inconsistent. This would be an amazing effect if the beads can be soaked on site, you don't have a lot of or large vases to fill (we had both), or you have a lot of help getting them there and assembling them. Regardless, we are happy using them just as plain decor on the tables because they are so pretty.

I am obsessed with the amazing “magic” like outcome
I am obsessed with the amazing “magic” like outcome. My arrangements came out so beautiful. I am preparing 16 cylinder vases with a Silk Rose inside for my daughters sweet sixteen candle lighting ceremony. I can’t wait!!!! I am even temping to make more JUST to put them on tables as an addition to the dozen rose centerpieces!! TEMPTATIONS TEMPTATIONS!!!!

These pearls are solid plastic and do not float on own
I used these along with the white pearls two different ways. One way was layered with the transparent gels to give the "floating" look. People were so amazed when they learned that the black and white pearls were actually not floating but were being supported by a vase full of transparent spheres. The black and white pearls do not float. They are solid spheres of hard plastic. They do not absorb water and become larger. I added three white roses to the jar of "floating" pearls like it was a normal vase (stems under water and flowers above). Very pretty. The second way I used the pearls was sprinkled on top of clear glass cabochons or flat glass pebbles. Three white roses were wired to a clear plastic disc and the pebbles placed on top. Then the pearls were sprinkled on top of the glass pieces. The vase was then filled with water to the top. Floating candles were placed on the water. People also found these center pieces quite stunning. In the dark, the floating candles illuminated the white roses . Very beautiful.

Rebutting a prior derogatory review
A prior review of this item specifically mentioned there were not 80 pieces in a bag, which left me a little concerned about how much I could rely on the item description. I just received my order and I'm here to tell you, there were exactly 80 pieces in my bag so I don't know what this other person is talking about.

works well
Used for wedding centerpieces. Beads "floated" in glass cylinders of clear water bead. Many nice comments . Everyone had to' play' to see that beads were supported by the clear water beads. Sent centerpieces home with attendees. Use distilled water in water beads to prevent molding. Very simple and pretty centerpiece . Placed on mirror with simple white votive candle. Tables looked great.

Ok I guess
Pearls were nice but nail polish smell was very overwhelming. Will bearly use this Saturday and hopefully that will not affect in any way or fade while being in the water. I thought they were a bit pricey for just being pearls painted with nail polish. Next time I will just do myself instead of buying. Seller was very helpful and shipped super quick though. In that part, I give seller 5 stars.

Royal Blue Faded
I used these once for a dinner party. I received all kinds of complements. I packed everything away in a container and put them in my closet. I took them back out at Christmas, and because of the complements, I decided to leave them out. I refilled the water to keep the clear beads hydrated, but after 5 months, my royal blue beads are faded to a light blue. I just went to buy more and they are no longer carrying them.
