I actually laughed out loud many times while reading, need I say more? I will because I loved this series so much, also everyone that I have recommended it to has also loved it and thanked me profusely.Emma’s character is so genuine and coming from the vantage of reading her journals is perfect, because I enjoyed being in her head. All the characters are delightful (well except archibald, but don’t we all have to put up with someone in our life). I wish St Crispians was real because I would move there. I’m wasting your time, just read it and then you to will be happy as a lark.

I haven’t had so much fun reading in I don’t know how long. Beth Brower’s character development is amazing. I’m falling in love or exasperated with any number of characters. Emma is wonderful! Of course being a woman in England in the 1880s was limiting, Emma’s inner dialogue regarding societal norms written out in her journals, is so relatable. I’ve started the second volume already & I am officially hooked. I have been caught laughing aloud multiple times.

Stepping into the world of Emma M. Lion through her journals was delightful! I thoroughly enjoyed the latest writings of Beth Brower. Miss Brower is descriptive and engaging in everything she writes. I have copies of all her books and have read them several times. Everyone I recommend Miss Brower's books to comes back with the highest reviews. I can hardly wait for more volumes of Miss Lion's journals!

Everyone that loves a fun light read with a strong willed sassy strong main character needs to meet Emma M Lions. These books will become classics for generation to enjoy!!!

I've loved all of Beth Brower's books. It's easy to see that the author loves playing with words. This series is my all time favorite though. I'm legitimately upset Emma can't be my best friend in real life. She is strong, funny, confident, imperfect. In short I love her and these books; they are absolutely delightful!
