Q: how far in the ear do you have to push these? feels like they are going to fall out

I used the insertion rod to put the ear plugs in deeply enough that the backs only barely stuck out enough to pinch to take them out. They fit my ears pretty well and didn't fall out, but I usually use the small tips for ear buds so I think my ear canals are on the small side (and I'm only 5'3", so smaller than the average adult). But the ear plugs also seemed to work fine and didn't fall out for my much larger husband.

Q: How well do these fit in small ears?

I am a grown adult with small ears. But the do fit small ears. If you are using them for a concert or loud event ypu will be fine with these. I needed them for everyday all day use for my SPD. They fit but for me it was not what i needed so returned them.

Q: If I wore these while sleeping on my side, the earplug between the entire weight of my head and the pillow, would it be comfortable or uncomfortable?

Uncomfortable! Horribly designed and manufactured earplugs!

Q: Can sets of the ones with strings be purchased separately?

The bottom plastic thing comes out of these plugs they fold the end of the string inside and push the the plastic thing back in and now they have string.
