Shoei Neotec II Splicer Helmet

Should have replaced my helmet much earlier, the technology in this helmet is top notch, first time I have ridden a motorcycle in a while and not have to wear ear plugs. Only gripe is the blue tooth designed to fit the helmet is not the one I opted for, I would have prefer they left room for you to choose what you want to install.

I bought this helmet after owning a few others over the years. A friend has a Shoei and likes it so I decided to take the plunge and invest in a good one. It is great. It is quiet and comfortable. The venting is a little noisy but when it’s 30 degrees out it’s worth it. Most venting systems are loud. At first it was snug but has now loosened up and fits just right. I like you can order replacement padding and have it on hand if and when the original breaks down. My earbuds fit underneath comfortably and eventually I might get the sena system. The flip down visor works good and the main shield locks in different positions. I haven’t tried the pin lock yet but will in cooler temps. It does tend to fog as it is so airtight. When visors are completely shut it is very aerodynamic. My other helmets would give me concussion like symptoms after long rides. When gassing up it’s nice to open the modular for air or even when talking to someone.Shipping from vendor was seamless and quick. I have no regrets so far buying this modular and for that kind of money plan on keeping it for a long while.

I spend this amount of money hoping it would be a very quiet helmet; unfortunately, it's not, and I feel it should have been less noisy as other helmets.Don't get me wrong; it still far better than other helmets, but that's my only complaint.I bought this mainly because it's a modular helmet, it secures great, the visor is perfect, and it has excellent ventilation. Looks fantastic also, and in terms of safety you can tell this will protect your head very well.I haven't install any Sena Bluetooth device or anything but was able to use other Bluetooth earbuds underneath the helmet.

An excellent made helmet. Nothing less is expected from Shoei. I have other Shoei helmets along with others, but I must say I feel the most ‘safe’ while wearing a Shoei! This modular helmet is well made and I expect several years of good use out of this one!
