Solid product. Great for camping.
I bought these to hang a shade / rain tarp over our campsite. I had never used a product like this before so I had some trouble getting them to work. I only mention this so that other new users of adjusters like these take the time to figure out how to use them before you get in the field. They don't come with instructions. I guess it should just be intuitive. Or something an outdoors type person just knows! :) Well I didn't and I spent an hour plus cursing and trying to hang my tarp all while using them incorrectly. I should have done my homework before heading out to the middle of the woods where there is no magical interwebs to tell me how to do anything I can't immediately do myself. :) It's pretty simple, but it's very specific. Another Amazon reviewer posted a picture of how to use them so I won't post another. Take a look at his picture. Really it's "easy". As long as you know the exact path and place to put the knot and direction to string the cord.Anyway after much frustration and verbal abuse of the guyline adjuster, I was able to get them to work. I just had to sit down and really think about it. :)D Take a picture and bring it with you. Or some of you are just laughing at me because this is second nature to you!The rest of the camping trip it was really nice to be able to walk over to the guyline and tighten it up with just a slight pull on the cord. And oh, I used the adjusters with both 3mm and 550 paracord. They seems to be very adaptable to different sized cords. These things are great, simple, and they do what they are supposed to do. The look good and feel super solid. I'm pretty sure they will last forever. Or until I lose them. And hey, cheap too. 5 stars for sure.

Slack adjusters
I've been looking for these for a few years now and no one even at sports stores had such. These are ~1.5 inches long, 5/8 wide, 3/32 thick and have 0.22 inch holes. I can get a 1/4 inch rope to go thru it, but it was a tight fit. I was interested in these since I don't like the slack adjusters that look like a saw blade (almost ripping the rope each time you insert it or remove it), yet these allow repeated adjustment without fraying the rope. You do need to thread the rope thru the holes the first time you go to use it (that may seem like a pain), but once they're on it you pretty much can't lose them (versus slip-on devices that can fall off or get misplaced). The way to route the rope thru them is while holding it mostly horizontally with the bend pointing up, thread the rope up thru one hole, back down thru the second, run the rope up to the tent pole (or such), then back to the second hole and tie a knot. If the rope you're using is big enough that it's hard to have it go thru a hole a second time, then skip the "back down thru the second" step in that process and it will still likely hold (since the bigger rope won't easily slip thru the hole unless it's at 90 degrees to how the rope is going and the tension should pull it nearly parallel to the rope).Part of my use for these will be for setting up an "old fashion" tarp shelter. I know many like the "instant canopies" now, but those still need tie-down with ropes/stakes in winds, easily bend/get damaged, and need 4 people to set them up (1 person must be on each leg or they easily bind). In comparison, a simple tarp (possibly bigger than just a 10 X 10), 4-6 "tent poles" like these Texsport Ajustable Tent Pole to hold it up, and some ropes/stakes give you the virtually the same thing for the same cost, so take your pick.

Missing One! But they fixed it....
I'm really annoyed; the package says 10 pieces right on it and there are only nine in it. I'll call Liberty Mountain's customer service tomorrow to see what they'll do about it, and if they fix this fast because my trip is coming up, I'll amend my review accordingly. Right now I'm not real happy.Review Amendment: Friday the 21st when I spoke with Tad at Liberty Mountain' customer service, my impressions of this company were not improved. He kept saying that he was trying to determine who was responsible for shipping me the product. The distinct impression I had was that he was trying to get me off the phone and had no intention of helping me- which did not make me a happy camper, pun intended. I asked to speak to a supervisor and spoke with Pete Wangsgard, who explained that in addition to their own product, Liberty Mountain distributes for several other companies, and they need to keep their internal billing straight, which I certainly understand. He was not willing to break a package to send me the missing adjuster, but opted instead to send me a whole package (Bravo!), which arrived on Saturday, two days ahead of expected time. Because I've been in the CSR seat before, I left Pete with some feedback for Tad, which he promised to share with Tad and his supervisor (evidently Pete was in a supervisory capacity in Returns- presumably because I was pissed and Pete was the one supervisor Tad could find!). So I am amending my review to three stars because they 1) fixed the issue, but 2) not without pissing me off further. If these turn out to be as easy to use as advertised (based on a Kelty YouTube video, not Liberty Mountain- Kelty likes this adjuster and recommends it for use with their tarp) I'll amend my review again.

they let me pitch my Big Agnes UL tent more quickly
Liberty Mountain Aluminium Guyline Adjuster, 10 pack: I didn't expect such a small non-descript item to be so convenient & helpful. These greatly shorten the time it takes to finish pitching my Big Agnes UL tent. They don't slip. Highly Recommended.
