Aisin FCV-002 Engine Cooling Fan Clutch

Took about 10 minutes to install, all while taking the opportunity to scrub the old fan squeaky clean in the sink. 4 bolts attach to the engine, which are very easy to remove with a box wrench. Then opened shroud, which was 2 Phillips screws. Removed the Fan+clutch with 10mm socket wrench, replaced the clutch with 4 bolts, and put it back in the car, fastened the shroud. You don't need to pay a mechanic to install this!!At idle, noticed much more air moving. Revving the engine now makes a very pleasing WHOOOOOSH! I live in the desert where temps soar into the 110F on summer days. Absolutely the best modification I've done to the car.Before I could not run the AC up a slight grade on a warm day. Now, I can run the AC flat out up hills! Noise (whoosh) goes away at higher speeds. Now I'm just kicking myself for waiting so long. $30 used like new part from Warehouse deals. Package was opened, but I could tell the part had never been installed.1983 B23F series engine 244DL Auto.

Fan clutch is much more aggressive than the stock non HD style. Highly recommend this fan clutch for those that have vehicles with R134A HVAC systems.

Volvo b21ft (turbo = heat!) - highly recommended by the volvo community to help cool your car. In the winter it's a bit too much so I'll have to see if it pays dividends come summer in Michigan. Right now it's a little too aggressive for my current needs and I will be swapping it out for the OEM clutch.
