great rc car / great price / doesn't break the bank / lotsa fun!
Surprisingly decent for the price. I paid hundreds of dollars for a proper RC card when I was a kid. This is a good start and you won't be worried if the kiddos crash it into objects (which they will).A couple cons is that as far as I can tell (and remember), there is no throttle ramp up, meaning, if you press the trigger, it's full throttle. The same goes for the steering in that when you steer, it is full turning radius and there are no gradients in between. The rubber wheels sometimes gets loose but a quick repair aligns it again. There are no adjustments for wheel alignment so if your car rides crooked from the factory, then, deal with it... Ours would veer slightly to the left.I also noticed that when using 4 x AA alkalines, the speed was a bit tooo fast (not necessarily a bad thing). The next day after a full day of use, the speed was slower and more manageable. So, I would probably recommend using NiMH batteries since they provide a lower voltage from the get go.

Best Rock crawler for less than 20 bucks.
It's a nice little Rock crawler with plenty of power and range. You cant go wrong for the price. It flexes well, climbs a wall then rolls over, great on hill climbs. Geared low. Fun on small stream beds and around the yard. Goes through my uncut lawn easily. Theres no variation in throttle just forward and reverse.Pro tip! I use lithium ion 1.5v rechargeable AA batteries made by Notmise (Found on Amazon). They are USB C rechargeable.I only use it for 10 to 15 min a time then let it sit to cool off. It doesn't get hot, I just want it to last.Truck takes 4 AA remote takes 3AA.I love cheap RCs and this one is my favorite because locked 4x4 goes anywhere.I highly recommend

surprising little climber!
This little RC goes up and over everything we've tried. It's slow enough for beginners, but has enough grunt to get over obstacles for the more experienced drivers. The controller is a bit large for small hands (my 5 year old has a hard time holding the grip). Otherwise easy to control and drive. Seems to be pretty durable, we've dropped and rolled it several times with no issues, but time will tell in the long run. I've had several toy RC cars and trucks, I'd buy this one again, it's a good value.

Slow But Agile
The car works better than expected. It is not fast, but it is agile. It climbs over small obstacles with easy, and it even runs in thick grass. My daughter has played with this car for about four hours, and the batteries are just now starting to die. She has jumped it off of small walls, run it into big walls, and the car continues to run. This is a good entry-level car, and I am glad that I took a chance on it.

Great truck, awful remote.
Great truck, awful remote. The truck has working 4wd, with great suspension and tires. It can climb many obstacles. Unfortunately, the remote is junk. Once you turn it off, it won’t work again when you turn it back on. Even if you have brand new batteries, use it for 5 minutes, turn it off, and when you turn it back on: nothing. The inky remedy is to take the batteries out and replace them, even just take them out and put the same ones back in. This requires removing and replacing the screw in the battery door. Then sometimes the remote just stops working while in-use. Same remedy works sometimes. Remote is junk, which is really too bad my son loves it, but doesn’t understand why it stops working. Disappointing gift from Santa.

Didn't last with my 5 and 7 year old boys.
*Edited 1/8/18*Of course the day after posting my review about how this has held up well, it totally broke. Lowering my rating down to 3 stars, probably only deserves 2...*original review*So far this is actually holding up, to my surprise. My son got this for his 5th birthday 3 months ago, and although he doesnt use it very often, when he does he is pretty rough with it and it hasn't broke yet. The one thing that sucks is that it goes through batteries really fast. I wish it was rechargeable.

Rugged fun!
I bought this car as a Christmas present for my 14 yr old nephew with easy access to rough terrain - which he'd drive everything over anyway - being rugged was a high selling point! He has a blast with it, pushing it to it's limits and beyond. His comments, "This car is really cool and fun! The controls are easy and it's pretty durable (high praise), and I haven't had to replace the batteries yet." His little brother's only complaint is that he doesn't "his turn" enough...

👍😁
... price and excellent shipping - very good quality - it was a gift for my son and he loved it - if you run it where it is not grass it runs very well because it does not hold - the design is good - THANK YOU
