This study guide will get you started in using the Precepts method of studying the Bible. You will need colored pencils and a notebook as well as a Bible you can mark in. I bought a precepts Bible to use. I have really learned critical reading of scriptures by using this guide. This is not like a Bible study where you answer questions but rather you are taught by dissecting scripture. I love Beth Moore Bible studies. This study will help you learn to search scripture just like Bible teachers. I would encourage you to try this study. Kay Arthur is a gifted teacher. She has you do the work but gently guides you.

I do have to say that this book helped me discover things that I didn't even know about the book John. It seems like every time I read it I keep finding more and more valuable information by using the inductive bible study method. God is good and wants to talk to us in a way that we don't even understand, but these books are so useful in teaching us how to discover truth in our own.

Another wonderful inductive study by Precept Ministries. This one is great for individual or small group study without all the homework of other Precept Studies.

This is my first Inductive Study with Kay Arthur. I was attracted by her other books on the inductive study method, but was intimidated by the marking instructions. Re that, this seemed to be easier to follow and more specific about what to do. But, I highly recommend the method, as you spend detailed time in the word of God, which in itself teaches you. Each chapter has assignments for one week, with questions for discussion and a Thought for the Week to sum up. Great for personal study, but even better with a small group. Easy to use, good directions

This is a wonderful Bible study on the book of John. It gives you a start if you haven't been studying your Bible. I learned things about the book of John even though I had read it numerous times.

I am working my way through the study and have not completed the book yet. The authors have me examining and studying very familiar scriptures in a new way. I am seeing things about God, I never considered in the context of the gospel of John. As I learn about how God cares for and knows me, I am learning to know and love God better!
