Awesome adapters!
I use these adapters two different ways:First off, you can attach them to larger propane/butane canisters to run your lightweight camp stove when space and weight are not an issue. The other way involves the butane canister adapter ONLY:At times you can find butane canisters at very reasonable prices. Butane is a much lower pressure gas than propane. Standard lightweight campstoves run on isobutane canisters which are a mix of butane and propane. This blend works well in colder weather where the higher pressures of propane counter the loss of pressure due to the cold temperature. For warm weather trips, I have found that running 100% butane works great.Sometimes you can find butane canisters as cheap as $1 apiece. Isobutane canisters can cost 4-5× that.Using the butane canister adapter and a refill valve, it's pretty simple to refill isobutane canisters with straight butane. There is usually enough gas in one butane canister to fill a small, (4oz), isobutane canister twice. As butane has a much lower pressure than isobutane, it's also a very safe operation. Now, this really only works if you're not expecting temperatures below 45 degrees F or so. Colder than that and you'll want the mixed gas. These adapters will pay for themselves pretty quickly if you're using them to refill canisters, and will add quite a bit of adaptability and convenience otherwise.Highly recommended.

Fits great
This allows me to use 1 pound propane bottles with my Soto burner. Saves me money everytime over the butane cans. So worth it.

Now what I was looking for
I need a value adaptor that designed for a small propane bottle adaptor to a straight butane bottle. "Square peg into a round hole."

Be prepared to consume a lot of fuel
I found a really nice isobutane stove at a yard sale, but I wanted to use regular butane canisters or a tank of propane when I take it camping. So I got these adapters only to find out the regulated flow of gas is just crazy. On a regular canister of isobutane, the stove works fantastic. With these adapters, the flames with both butane and propane canisters are crazy big and hard to control the volume of fuel. In order for these to work properly, it seems like you might need some kind of regulator also. That’s definitely not worth the fuss. Much, much better just to run your isobutane stove off of actual isobutane canisters, and if needed, refill those canisters using a cheap adapter instead of trying to use these adapters.

Zufrieden
