I installed this in a bedroom that is the only room in the house not over the basement (crawlspace only), which causes the room to get pretty chilly compared to the rest of the home. I'd installed programmable thermostats in the rest of the house over the years, but getting to the wiring for this room wasn't easy, so I went with this model for the bedroom. Installation was simple and quick, and the thermostat was operating immediately.My electric bill is "budgeted" and changes yearly to reflect average use from the year before, and the bill is then the same for the next 12 months. The year after I installed this, my bill went down $37/month, with no other changes in usage. I'm very happy with the performance of this thermostat, and like the ability to link multiple baseboards to the same thermostat, or control remotely with a gateway. I would definitely recommend this, especially for those who can't or don't want to deal with direct wiring of a thermostat.

We have an existing 6’ hydronic baseboard heater in our office/TV room with a standard manual thermostat. Heater works great but not convenient to operate. This wireless thermostat is perfect solution. Mounted the EIM inside a blank wiring section along with the antenna module on end cap.The thermostat was easily surface mounted on opposite wall. Linking thermostat to EIM was straightforward.Reviewing documents, there are additional components for sensing outside temperature wirelessly as well as an internet gateway for iPhone control of thermostat. We already use Honeywell TCC iOS app so I ordered those items.Overall, it is a pricey setup but we gain scheduling and convenience. Would definitely buy again if we add additional baseboard heaters.

This was a great way to modernize an aging heating system! Easy to install, works great. I've ordered and installed four total, and am ordering another three this week. I'm a big fan.

I installed this kit in order to control a baseboard heater in a detached garage in a cold climate as I use it as an office. The existing baseboard heater controls did not allow you turn it OFF. Every thermostat I've ever used has an OFF mode. Including all of Honeywell 24V systems that I've used. I thought this thermostat would be the same. Setup was easy and I paired it with the Redlink Internet Gateway along with my home thermostat. However you can only turn it down to 41F which is unacceptable for my needs. I don't want to heat a detached garage all winter when the temps go down below 41F as it is a waste of energy, so now I might have to install a switch to turn off power to the device when it gets cold, which defeats the purpose of being able to control the device from my phone. If you are using this in a home where the temp will never get below 41F and you need to heat your home due to freezup conditions then this small issue is not relevant to you, but in a non-livable area where there is no water plumbing, its a fatal flaw.

We installed this item and are very pleased with how quickly and easy to install. Love it.

I just installed this kit today on one electric baseboard as a test for future expansion. Install is easy. Pairing EIM with thermostat is trivial. Programming instructions are pretty clear. And if your hearing isn't too good, you may just love this product.But my hearing is good. And the EIM emits a high pitch squeal whenever the LED is on. For me it's noticeable within 15 feet and really annoying. If you don't hear it but want to "see", simply use a free sound analysis tool on your laptop. There are three bands at 10KHz, 15KHz and 20KHz.If you don't hear high pitch sound, go for it. Otherwise, hmm.
