I've been wearing these boots since May 2016 and I absolutely love them. I grew up riding horses, so I am familiar with and trust the Ariat brand. I know they make excellent quality riding apparel. A little pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. I bought these because I was going on a 3 week backpacking trip in Ireland and needed a shoe that was sturdy, comfy and above all waterproof. As an added bonus, they also double as riding boots, so I knew I'd use them after the trip as well. These boots did not disappoint. They took me all over the countryside, up mountains, through puddles and mud, throughout all my dirty hiking adventures these boots kept my feet warm, dry, and comfortable. So for you non-horsey people, these make excellent hiking boots. For horsey people as well, they make very durable work boots. I work at a barn and they have withstood all the mud and poop I've stomped through the last four months. Very convenient if I also want to ride.

The best purchase I have made. Comfortable and fit perfectly with a little room. I can't wait to go hiking with them.

I bought these boots to wear on a five-day trail ride through the Davis Mountains that involved hours in the saddle each day as well as a moderate amount of hiking over rocky, somewhat steep trails and through muddy creek beds. I had very little time to break them in before the ride, so I was a little concerned about blisters, particularly since we were living out of our saddle bags with no room to bring extra shoes. I was relieved to find that these boots were instantly comfortable. Although I wore them at least twelve hours a day in very hot temperatures, my feet didn't blister at all, and the boots kept my feet dry when we got surprised by a sudden hailstorm. I was also very pleased that they provided ankle support for hiking without restricting my ankle flexion; I had no trouble getting my feet in the stirrups of a Western saddle or keeping my heels down. On top of that, they look great! I normally wear women's 7.5 in medium, but I ordered these in a wide size to give my toes (and the giant bunion developing on one foot) plenty of wiggle room. I would highly recommend them for trail riding, but I also think they will come in handy on busy days when I'm trying to fit in riding, hiking or walking, and running errands without having to stop to change footwear.

It took me a long time to find the right pair of boots about 10 years ago, and these were it! This review is for my second pair because I wore out my first pair after much use. When I ordered this second pair, I made sure I ordered the exact same ones that I originally ordered because these are perfect.I had trouble finding any women's boots locally because it seems the type of stores I would expect to find them in cater to men. So I had to order the Ariats on the internet and hope I wouldn't have to send them back. They're keepers.I did find some Justin boots 10 years ago, locally, which I purchased also. I like my Justin boots, but they are not as sturdy or supportive as the Ariats.The Ariats are perfect in all ways. I had two back surgeries so I can't wear footwear that have noticeable heels. These don't, yet they don't feel totally flat either. In other words, they feel supportive and don't strain my back at all.The waterproof feature was important too. If you're thinking of these boots, the extra cost for the waterproof version is well worth it.These boots are comfortable, easy to get on and off, warm, supportive, and very nice looking. I never expect people to notice my boots, but occasionally someone will even compliment them. These are great boots, so if you're looking for a pair that will last long and will satisfy all important features, get these.

These boots are the quality and fit I have learned to expect from Ariat.I wear mine almost every day, and have used them for hiking, riding, and basic getting around. They are definitely waterproof! My feet are always kept dry even when I slog through the barn mud puddles in this long rainy summer. I even hose the mud off of the bottoms without getting wet feet.The spur rest is in a good place, and does a good job of keeping spurs where they go.I've had his pair of boot for about 9 months. I work hard and do a lot of heavy work with them. They have held up okay, but could do a little better. There is some separation beginning to happen with the soles from the boot which is just beginning, but I could have wished for two years from these boots for the money. The treads have held up beautifully, though, as have all the rest of the shoes.

I work in my boots all day every day as a camp host. I'm 55 years old and rely on them to protect my feet from cactus, and need them to give me support. They are so comfortable. I have added elastic laces, since I put them on and off several times a day. They hold up really well and when they wear out, after about a year, I just order another pair. This time I got the waterproof one, but it 'hasn't rained yet, so I don't know if they are really waterproof. They look good, feel good and they are very durable.

These boots hold up extremely well. We have a horse farm and I help my husband who has a construction business, I wear them doing both every day all day long. Not sure how many pairs I have bought but I have been purchasing them for over 20 years. I can hike, ride, work on job sites, and do everyday farm chores in them. Because of how much I wear them they only last me about a year, but they are well worth it. The company that shipped them this time, OutlandUSA.com, sent them 5 days before they were projected to get here from Amazon, which was a life saver because the old ones had wore out. The sole last really well but the leather where your foot bends wears out and gets holes, but like I said I wear them every day.

Penso siano state il miglior investimento degli ultimi tempi! Conoscevo la fama di Ariat ma non avevo mai provato alcuna calzatura. Ho voluto provare con queste scarpe e devo dire che sono davvero soddisfatta!! Vestono molto comode tanto che il mezzo numero in più potrebbe farle risultare troppo grandi. Appena indossate, nuove di zecca, le ho tenute ai piedi per una intera giornata, trascorsa in piedi e a camminare nella sabbia e non ho avuto alcun problema, anzi! Pur contenendo bene il piede, la pianta larga le rende delle pantofole. Nonostante l'aspetto massiccio sono leggere ed esteticamente gradevoli. La spedizione, proveniente dall'estero, è stata precisa e puntuale. Consiglio vivamente sia il prodotto che il venditore.
