I bought this updated version to use as a template for our summer horse camp.

This is a terrific update of the USPC's previous manual for its most advanced members. It is a super resource for adult riders/owners, and a great review for instructors and coaches. Clear diagrams are expected of Susan Harris, and the manual doesn't disappoint. In these times when riders are criticized for not understanding basic horsemastership as it used to be taught, here is a way to catch up on current good practice in riding and working with horses.

My daughter has been a member of United States Pony Club for two years. Their programs and education are exceptional. This book is just one example of many excellent resources.

Very helpful a good source of information, I learned a lot in this book, but growing up around horses I already knew some of the info.

If you have a Pony Clubber who is getting ready for testing, spare yourself the hassle of guessing and get the leveled book for for your test. Pairing the books with online study guides and knowledge requirements will prep you well for your testing.These books are also relevant if you are looking for general English riding information and horse care. The content is reliable with many Olympic level riders having come through Pony Club using these reference materials.

Great resource for all horse and pony owners, not just Pony Club members. Easy to read, good illustrations, and reviews information provided in the D level book.
