Best No Hassle Hummingbird Feeder - EVER
I have been using these feeders for over 10 years and am so glad to see these available on Amazon. Before using these, I had tried a variety of glass and plastic feeders but after switching have been very happy using them. Majority of the "pretty" or larger feeders I have tried may look aesthetically pleasing but they have been a pain to keep clean. You have to get special tools i.e. pipe cleaners and such to get into the nozzles attached to bulky plastic bottoms; and if left unclean mold and fungus starts to accumulate in the sections you cannot easily reach. And frankly, the hummingbirds DO NOT CARE what their food source looks like - lol.Yes, there are cons to the way these bottles are marketed - the wire is pretty useless if installed the way intended. Rather, hang these off a trellis or tree branch. And yes, they do drip but at a v-e-r-y slow rate. The bee-guard is not helpful as well because nectar will seep (not drip though) between the screw cap and main housing. So we do have some bees that feed but not enough to bother the hummingbirds. We even have teeny finches and woodpeckers who have learned how to feed from these!! Really fun to observe all the antics of the citters that visit. Finally, these feeders are small but that's another plus to me because it's healthier for the hummingbirds when the nectar is replaced frequently. Right now I have 3 of these hanging in the back and front of my house and they are emptied every 4 days from feeding. I'd say there are about 8-10 different hummingbirds that frequent our garden. We are lucky indeed to have hummingbirds whizzing around in our garden. Some are fearless enough to feed inches away from me, and I've even had them feed while the feeder was in my hand. Enjoy!

Nectar Leaking
Ordered a two pack of these hummingbird feeders. Have used this style of feeder for years but last year the one I had left cracked. These are defective, as many other buyers also stated. I filled them as I did with my previous ones and securely tightened the screw-on bottom. Any time the feeder moved from the wind the nectar leaked out, which emptied the feeder quickly. When filling it I noticed bubbling coming from the feeding opening. My previous ones did not do that. The liquid stayed in the outlet and did not drip out. We have purchased Perky Pet feeders that were identical in the past and we mixed and matched the nectar holders with the red screw bottoms and found that the red screw bottom was what was causing the leaking...did not fit properly into the threads of the clear holder. We are using our old screw bottom with the new clear holder and it fits properly and does NOT leak!Later note: Contacted the Perky Pet Company and notified them of the screw bottoms. They offered to send replacements but the clear nectar holders worked perfectly with our old Perky Pet red screw on bottom. Perky Pet has always been reliable so it's likely a production issue that will hopefully be resolved. Our old PP feeders were definitely rated a 5 but after many years of use a crack developed in the nectar holder.

Cute, easy to clean and my hummingbird likes it
The media could not be loaded. This is a great little feeder. It only holds 3 oz which is the equivalent of 2 shot glasses. Perfect for me because I don’t like to waste anything. I fill it half-way and clean it out every 48 hrs as recommended. I give it a good scrub with a toothbrush and dish soap especially around the port.It took my little hummingbird about 2weeks to find it and figure out how to use it, but once she did she hits it hard several times a day.It does leak a bit from the port but it doesn’t completely drip empty. Since the nectar dies attract ants and bees I wouldn’t suggest placing it too close to your house. Other than that I really like it.

Love this!
My little hummingbird loves this feeder ., and it's so easy to clean . Unfortunately I dropped the first one on concrete and broke it and I ordered another one right away . I have it hanging in a potted plant , You have to really lean it back So it doesn't drip . Well worth the price and so much easier to clean than my large feeder .

If modified, this is a good feeder.
I do not try to use this feeder as-is. I modify it as follows: 1) It has too little red. They seem to use it okay as-is, but I wrap it in red cellophane (tape it with scotch tape) to improve its visibility and attractiveness to hummers. 2) I do not use the yellow bee guard. Bee guards are only useful in keeping bees (actually wasps) from crawling into the feeders and drowning. They do not keep the wasps from frequenting and dominating the feeders. To increase the attractiveness to hummers, I use a red nipple (fake flower) from other designs that fits the aperture. If the diameter is wrong, I use aquarium air tube as an adaptor on the feeder so that the nipple fits. Once modified as described, this feeder works beautifully. PROS: 1) attracts hummers; 2) small-volume capacity ensures that it is emptied before the solution spoils; 3) works without the red cellophane, but I believe it is more effective in being spotted by and used by hummers with it (NEVER use red-dyed nectar--use only homemade nectar); 4) simple design means there are only 2 pieces (3 including the cap) to clean (only 2-3 minutes to clean). Clean it with a sponge mop, toothbrush, and fine brush or pipe cleaner. CONS: 1) Probably okay as-is, but below my standards unless modified; 2) has an additional design flaw: the cap is prone to leaking, either because the threading doesn't fit the chamber, or because when you screw it too tightly (to stop the dripping), the cap cracks. The hummers still use it, but the dripping causes loss of nectar and requires more often refills, and attracts more wasps.

Es un alimentador mini genial.
Funciona perfecto.

Waste of money - leaks
Although this product is small and fits nicely in my large planter pots, it leaks! I am wasting money constantly filling it. I should have read the reviews before purchasing it. I am going to have to buy a different feeder.

Haven't seen a hummingbird yet, but I had to hang it in a different place in the yard.
