OMG this stuff is impenetrable! Our kids NEVER get a burn when we use this stuff but be careful it does permanently (and I mean PERMANENTLY) stain leather. We've tried several professional services and other "tricks" and to date NOTHING has gotten this stuff out of our SUV's leather. Where it really happens mostly is if the kids touch their skin after application and then of course must touch every freaking surface after that - like the car seats / sides of doors, headliner, etc., the walls of the house / doors, the windows, you get the idea. The less porous the better chance you can get it out.

This sunscreen works so well and one bottle lasts quite a while when you learn how to apply it effectively. I smear a small amount in my hands and make "handprints" on my children with the sunscreen, then smooth it out. I'm pretty good about reapplying every hour or so after swimming, and every few hours in full sun, however, on the rare occasions I have forgotten to reapply, my fair-skinned kids have not gotten burnt. This is my favorite natural sunscreen I've tried, and I have tried many.

I’ve been using this sunscreen for my kids for many years. It is very thick and does leave a white tint if too much is put on and not rubbed in fully. I have a very fair skinned child who in 11 now. We vacation at the beach for a week every year. He never burns. We always put this on 20 min prior to being outside and if we are at the beach or pool all day we reapply during lunch. This is very expensive for sunscreen but in my opinion it’s worth every penny. My children get “good sun” using it. It also does not burn the children’s eyes as some sunblocks do.

Ok, so I see the bad reviews and kind of wonder why. I have been using this for years. It is marked super low on toxicity levels by EWG. Yes, it is thick, Yes your kids look like ghosts. But more importantly, my kids have never been burned while wearing it. That and the low levels of toxicity are all I care about. It is totally expensive and I wish I could still get it at the store. But I love this for my kids.

We've been using this sunscreen since last summer when I found it listed as one of the 30 approved sunscreens on the EWG's list. I was thrilled when I found that Amazon offered it in a 6 ounce tube as I had been buying the 2.9ounce tubes for some time. With two kids (2 and 4) who need to be coated in sunscreen from nose to toes everyday before they go to preschool, I was glad to find a fragrance-free sunscreen that didn't contain concerning chemicals. It goes on white but will fade out as it gets rubbed in and as it dries. I'll be back to buy more soon!

This is the only sunscreen our 3 year old does not have a reaction to. It is unfortunately pricey, but she doesn't break out and it protects really well. It does not rub in all the way, but who cares... she's 3! I would recommend this product to anyone with a kid with sensitive skin.

I started using this sunscreen last month, and I like it so far! I bought this product because I wanted a physical sunscreen that does not contain animal ingredients, is not tested on animals, and is reef-safe. I also wanted a sunscreen that would be less greasy than other sunscreens I've used; and, while this product does still leave my skin a bit shinier than I'd like, it is probably the least-greasy sunscreen I've used.

Excellent! After lots of research, I kept seeing this brand recommended. So on a trip to the Bahamas, I trusted this product for my 16 month old and I could not have been happier! Blending takes a bit more time but he never got a burn or a rash and it made me a true believe in the California Baby products and will try others!
