Delicious Fettuccine
Hubby made dinner using "Keystone Beef" adding it to Knorr Fettuccine, adding sweet peas & mushrooms. I rarely have seconds, I wanted more it was so delicious. Amazon Seller's Price matters! Where I live S.E. Alaska prices are so inflated we rarely don't get to eat beef. So "Thank You" very much for selling this awesome product on the Amazon River, that flows to my front porch.

Not as good as home canned . . . but what is?
I was planning to order direct from the manufacturer in bulk, but after reading so many reviews that weren't bright and shining here I was a bit hesitant. Let me explain.I live in a very hurricane prone area and try to maintain "a year supply" of food, etc. just in case. I can and dehydrate, etc. to supply a healthy pantry in case of emergencies. Well, 2020 was a year of emergencies and my pantry worked fine, but took a pretty hard hit. I was looking for a way to quickly restock my shelf stable meats without having to spend a lot of time since we're still in clean-up and repair from all of the past year's hurricanes, floods, freezes, and of course, the pandemic. That's why I was looking at Keystone. Now, my experience . . . I ordered several cans of different meats to give them a fair trial. All of the cans arrived in good shape, without dents, and "store fresh". Upon opening, the beef was a large mass of beef chunks. The mass is definitely from the processing, no big deal. There is liquid in the can . . . again, from processing, and a small amount of fat floating on top. You would know that this is also normal if you've ever canned meat. Some people have reported a "dog food" smell . . . they must buy expensive dog food. This smelled like opening leftover roast beef. Tasted like it, too.I drained it, added BBQ sauce, heated it up, put it on hamburger buns, and enjoyed a tasty bbq beef lunch.

Dented, unusable cans
I was excited about this product for my emergency kit and despite the cost, felt it was worthwhile. My three-can package arrived today and 2 of the cans are deeply dented on the sides and top rim of the can. The FDA's website states" If you can press your finger into the dent, it's considered deep and should be thrown away." Both of these cans meet that criteria. As this product is non-returnable, there is no remedy for the unsuspecting buyer. At a minimum, if you're selling a food product, you have an obligation to deliver safe, usable food. I am unable to recommend this product. Having to throw away 2/3rds of what you ordered and paid for it is not a reasonable outcome.

We like it
We love the product. We feed it to our dog mixed with kibble every night. It was the only meat we could find that did not have a lot of additives, only salt and, he loves it!

Made a really quick and delicious Barbacoa beef
Combined the three cans of this shredded beef with Mezco Old El Paso Barbacoa Flavor mix (also available on Amazon). Began by draining off as much liquid as I could do easily, picking out the bigger globs of congealed fat from the beef, then heating it while adding the mix and some beef stock. Let that simmer on the lowest possible heat for about 20-30 minutes while stirring and adding a little stock when needed. Then served in tortillas and it was a very tasty meal. Ended up with enough left over to be able to have a second meal for my wife and myself in the future. Even given the price of the cans, spice mix, and stock it was cheaper than a couple of well-equipped burritos from a certain popular national burrito chain.
