I do not know how many times one of two things have happened to me. Either I can't get my electric can opener to work, or I am preparing for larger meals and the can is too large for me to open a can with using an electric model. Not to mention electric can openers can be difficult to keep clean and sanitary. I recently realized that I do not have a good working manual can opener. I didn't want to spend a lot nor did I want something cheap that I would have to struggle with. I was impressed when this one arrived as it looked like it would fit my needs. I put it to the test right away as I was preparing dinner that night for several people and had large and heavy cans of green beans to open. I like the design look and feel of the can opener. It is a brushed stainless steel finish with black plastic trim so it looks attractive as well. The blades are very sharp! This is a plus especially when opening larger cans because you need a good strong blade especially with the larger cans that you open from time to time. It attaches and grips on to the can with a good strong hold. The handle to crank it around the can is nice and larger making it much easier to get a good grip on it with strong opening power. The biggest plus to this is that it can be easily washed and sanitized so that there is no remaining food left on the blades to breed bacteria or mold. Mine also arrived with a with a brushed stainless and wood multi tool. The multi tool has a very nice cork screw, bottle opener and a small knife on it making it easy to open cans and wine bottles (the knife is great for cutting around paper and foil seals that are sometimes on bottles. This tool again is very easy to use and completely washable This set is great to have in your kitchen but are also great tools to throw into your picnic baskets, or backpack when camping I am very pleased with both tools and glad I was able to pick them up.

What I loved about this opener was the fact that it came with the best customer service. When I contacted them for a question,they made sure, I was entirely happy with their product and even offered me a free replacement in case there was any damage to the current one. Their dedication to the customer's satisfaction is top notch and outstanding.

Yes, I still use a manual can opener! I bought this opener after having one for less than a month and it went dull and off-track and wouldn't open a can without skipping. So car this opener is super sharp, I used it to open several jumbo cans of beans. It did not skip, feel sturdy and looks good.

After only 3 months of infrequent use, this can opener stopped working. Either the blades were too dull to penetrate the can lids or something else went wrong but the can opener doesn't work and we have thrown it away. It is inexpensive and I got what I paid for.

I had high hopes for this can opener, but it was HUGE disappointment. After two months, of use (nothing crazy or intense, simply using it for opening canned goods a few times each week), it started to lose the ability to keep a "bite" on the can and turning the mechanism was getting more and more rocky. By the third month, it was a complete goner. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Not real sharp and feels flimsy

All the positive reviews are accurate. This little guy is easy to use, cuts cleanly through the can so you never have to force the lid of due to an incomplete cut, and the blade remains clean. It's somewhat magical, quite frankly. I don't know how long it will last, but for the price, I'll almost certainly buy another if and when this one gives out. This is the product you want if you want to be able to put the lid back on the can.
