Psoriaten is a German natural non-hormonal ointment that is designed specifically to relieve scaling, itching and inflammation. Main ingredient is Mahonia aquifolium (Oregon Grape) bark extract. It is a powerful antimicrobial herb that plays a role in immune response. Studies show that applying an ointment containing 10% mahonia is effective in treating mild to moderate psoriasis. The first clinical study of Mahonia aquifolium used for the treatment of psoriasis was reported in 1992. In a multicentre, randomised, double-blind study involving 93 patients with mild to moderately severe psoriasis, topical application of Mahonia aquifolium ointment was compared with oral treatment of Mahonia aquifolium. At the end of the treatment, significant improvement had occurred in more than 70 per cent of patients in both groups. According to an overall evaluation by the participating dermatologists, symptoms improved or disappeared in 81.1% of the patients, and this was confirmed by the patients’ own subjective evaluation of the efficacy of the treatment. Psoriaten reduces redness, soothes and heals inflamed area. It doesn't contain any hormones and may be used for a long period of time. Psoriaten is approved for use in adults and children from 1. Psoriaten ointments improve the quality of life and reduce the risk of recurrence of psoriasis.*

Pleasant, but not sure it actually works.
This is an interesting product - I'm waiting to see if it actually works. It's quite pleasant, in terms of odor and formulation, though its efficacy remains to be seen. So far, I've been using it for a little over 2 weeks and am not yet noticing any improvement. I plan to try it for about 2 months to see if it's truly effective. I like the fact that it's a natural product (main ingredient is Oregon grape extract) and it's a cream, NOT an ointment (which I prefer since it's easier to apply and not ruin clothing). It's important, though, for anyone with psoriasis, eczema and other similar disorders to realize that these are primarily autoimmune diseases that stem from diet. Anyone interested in learning more owes it to themselves to read Dr. John Pagano's "Healing Psoriasis" book. It has many case studies of very serious patients who cleared up on his strict diet protocol. Psoriasis, along with other autoimmune ailments, heals best when working on one's gut. Through dietary modifications, my psoriasis is now fairly mild, so I'm interested to see if this products actually helps.

Recommended.
Not a homeopathic remedy, which is to say, it actually works. The product appears to be made in Russia, not Germany (how could anyone get that wrong, ahem?) since all the lettering on it is Russian. Very effective. It cleared up psoriasis on my chin under my beard in two days of regular application after a range of fairly muscular pharmaceutical options ranging from OTC cortisone to prescription medications failed to correct it. Recommended.

Didn't make a lick of difference in my psoriasis. Save your money.

the best Homeopatic (... Psoriaflora but is not as good although very close)
Psoriaten was developed in Germany, by a German laboratory (you can read the address on the package: Deutsche Homeopathy-Union) in cooperation with Russia. Produced in Russia, as far as I know. Not sure about the Ukranian version (which this appears to be).The cream (and it is a cream, not what known as ointment - a petrolium based heavy stuff) but will stain yellow white clothes, let it dry before putting on white shirt ;-)Works perfectly on new spots, will disappear in 2-3 weeks completely. Will keep older spots smooth(-er).There's a similar American cream (made in Mexico, BTW) - Psoriaflora but is not as good although very close. A lot cheaper too (this one is overpriced!)I recommend it, at least try it. No harsh chemicals, no guilt pleasant to use.Edit: be prepared to wait - ships from Brooklyn, NYC. Took a week just to process .....
