These are great once you are able to get them in position correctly. I am not sure if it my cabinets or what but the spacer thing they provide does not position the lock in the correct place for me. If this does happen to you and you have to change positions be aware that the sticky pad will not be nearly as effective. Also ensure the middle of the replacement sticky pad is removed or the lock will get stuck in the unlock position. I had to find these out the hard way after my dog was able to get in to the cabinets again a couple of times and destroy another small appliance. Once in place correctly they are great! The hardest part is knowing where to put the magnet on the outside of the cabinet to get it unlocked, my wife has put a tiny piece of scotch tap to help with this in our house

In short, a decent set of locks that my toddler can't circumvent (yet.)With my toddler on the go and wanting to get in every cabinet around my wife and I decided me needed some cabinet locks. My wife and I initially tried some of the "club style" ones that lock the handles together. Unfortunately, our cabinets' handles were too far apart to use these and thus those locks were useless. We looked at our other options and the simple ones that require the user to dislodge the lock we were given many strong warnings against by parents whose kids figured them out in a matter of days or weeks. The magnetic style locks looked to be the best option for us short of installing a physical key lock under the sink.Looking at a couple options, I decided upon these because they required no tools (they use 3M strips and can be removed when our kid is older and can be trusted more) and because they were more reasonably priced than some of the other ones I saw.The locks themselves came packaged nicely in a box with no annoying clamshell packaging. I always like when a product requires no special tools to be opened and the packaging can all be recycled. Installation was a bit tricky lining everything up but that could be my cabinets (custom made back in the 60s when the house was built and very much "non standard" in many ways.) The manual wasn't much help as it was written in horrible broken English but the pictures were helpful and honestly, it wasn't difficult to figure out.Installation took a while for all the cabinets and my daughter can no longer pull on the cabinets. After a couple of times having them stop after opening a quarter of an inch she's given up on pulling on them.The set I got comes with three keys but honestly, the keys are just a strong magnet so I wouldn't bother buying extra keys and instead just try out whatever magnets you already have lying around. Opening the cabinets with the keys is easy enough but does take some getting used to.In short, it does what it needs to do.

We have had nothing but trouble with these locks. Some of the locks have stayed attached to the cabinet, but many have not. We have also had an issue with locks getting stuck somewhere in between the locked and the unlocked position, which means our toddler is able to pull the cabinet open. This happens intermittently, which is a bit annoying. When this happens I check the latch on the lock and it appears to be in working order, but for some reason isn't quite latching. Then other times it works just fine and my toddler isn't able to open the cabinet. I don't believe it is an installation problem since it only just started doing this recently. We have had to buy back-up child safety locks to put on the cabinets, which kind of defeats the purpose of having these. I wanted to like these, and it seems like many people have had a good experience, but unfortunately, we haven't.

Great product. We haven't been able to get any other locks to work on our cabinets because of the way they're made, and I've been really hesitant to try anything that would force us to drill into our new cabinets. These fit the bill! They work great, though sometimes it is hard to get the magnet exactly where it needs to be to open the door. Not really a problem, just an inconvenience when you have to try more than once.

Frustratingly, these are not compatible with the magnets from our other set. So instead of having 4 total magnets, we have to mark each pair depending on which cabinets they are for. There is nothing wrong with this product though, they work well.

Pleasing to the eye. Hard to use. We have these in two homes. If the child can't see the mechanism she won't try to figure it out. If we used outer locking mechanisms my girl would sit there trying to unlock the thing till she succeeded.

I bought this recently and was very happy that the installation did not involve any screws. However today I was sitting relaxed having had the locks in place but found my son holding a pot in his hand. He opened the cabinet even when the lock was activated. The tape along with the stopper had come off the cabinet. My son has not turned one yet and is not that big.

works good with cabinet doors like under the sink. Does not work with dresser drawers. look at where you would install these before you buy, the picture on the box is not like most cabinets. They are faster and easier to install than the traditional kind.
