I saved long and hard to buy a brand new 2021 Subaru Forester. I don't have a garage--just a carport--and my condominium complex has a bunch of mature trees. They're pretty, but I get dust and pollen on my car every single day. I was nervous about how to keep a new car looking nice and stumbled upon the California Duster. What a godsend!!! It only takes a couple of minutes to dust my car in the morning and I'm good to go. I also used it on a recent camping trip after driving on some dirt roads to get some of the dirt off and clear my windows.I never had a single piece of thread shed. I left it on a cardboard box for two days as stated in the instructions and shook it out, but no shedding. The wooden handle is a bit heavy, so it's a little tiring to use, but doable since it doesn't take long. I'm so grateful I found this!!

Purchased a new car so I needed a new duster. I love these car dusters, they work great. I have used them for over 15yrs. The dirtier they get the better over time they work. I left mine out on newspaper as the instructions say for a week and I have no lint issues. Thank you!!

The California Duster that I had for15 years was in my car when the car was stolen. Honestly, I was more upset about losing the duster, because I never had to wash my luxury car. Thankfully the wooden handle version was still available through Amazon! (BTW, I never washed the 15 year old duster and it worked just as well as it did when it was new).

I just recently bought a new car, so I have a strong urge to keep it clean. I don't mind washing and waxing a car I enjoy at all, but the spring pollen living in south eastern Pennsylvania is crazy. If you wash your car Sunday afternoon by Monday evening it has enough pollen/dust on it to almost change the color of the paint. This thing lets you have that just washed/waxed look for days. This can leave some streaks on a car because of the the paraffin wax on the cotton. A friend of mine told me that this minimizes over time, and honestly with a brand new one I didn't really notice any on the blue paint.I will note however, I would not use this after rain. I think it is good and safe to use between a wash and until the first rain. Something about how rain can just fuse dust to the surface more makes me hesitant to use it then. Also unless I am in direct sunlight on a hot day I also usually use a quick spray wax on my car, so I generally have a coating of wax on the car.A friend recommended it to me that used it on a black Porsche, and I would recommend this to other people.

This is the third Original California Duster (wooden handle only) I have bought in 18 years and I think it may be the best right out of the package. I did wrap it in newspaper for 48 hours, then changed the paper and let it set for another 48 hours before using. I was a little surprised the papers were not oil or wax stained very much as the older ones were when they were new.The first use left just a few pieces of red lint on the paint, the second use hardly any and by the third time I used it not a trace of lint. I shook it hard after each use. Not one time did it leave any wax streaks! The paint is show car clean when done!! I do dust the vehicle after almost every time it is driven, sometimes after 50 miles or more of highway use.I looked very hard at a different brands and styles but glad I stuck with this superior product again. I’ve been after one of these for ages. Perfect for a quick dust over on my Alfa.

I had to lay this on newspaper for a few days to avoid streaks. Tested it on my very dusty car and had great results. It removed all the dust in one swipe, did not leave any streaks, and held a lot of debris before it needed to be shaken out. It feels well made, and the wooden handle is nicer than the plastic one I used to have. There are cheaper dusters available, but I trust this completely with soft black paint. Thinking about buying a smaller one as well.

Have an original from 25 years ago bought at car show, this one is lighter, material is not the same, doesn't get a lot of dust off like the original, you have to go over 2x and it's okay, but it doesn't seem to polish it with a shine like the original either. It's ok.
