The first thing you'll notice about these when you open them is the smell - MY GOD - 'fishy' just doesn't even begin to describe it. If you have an out-house, a porch or a shed, put them in there because if you don't, they will ruin anything that will absorb smells, fabric, carpets etc. I've had these for 3 days now and they still stink with no sign of the stench dissipating whatsoever. Now to mention the vacuum packing and the timeframe for 'restoring' their shape - 18 out of the 24 panels I took out of their packets are still yet to expand, 4 of them have one side that's fully expanded and the other half is still flat (see the photo) and 2 of them are fully expanded. They are definitely NOT as rigid as the seller makes out, they are very flimsy.

None of the foam pieces are even, so you would have to mash them together for them to fit. they are not even the same height.... They do not line up when hung because they do not have straight edges. I think it might be worth paying more to get a more premium product in the future, these have ended up in my bin.

The first thing to know about these is that unless you soak them in water they will not fully inflate, however this process is tedious. After soaking them you will have to wring them out by hand and then find somewhere to dry them, you can't stack them whilst drying as they won't form into the right shape. Even after wringing them out they will still retain some moisture which takes a long time to dry out. Even with all the panels fitted I can't hear that much difference in my room, there is still ringing and slapback echoes. I have now decided to go with procoustics and hope that the combination of these with the new tiles will be adequate.

When unpacked these were about as thick as cardboard, 7 days later no change. After soaking in water and drying in a tumble dryer, they all fluffed nicely. Unfortunately they have no sound proofing qualities. They were used to line a cupboard with a central heating boiler installed, made no difference.

Does not expand to 2” as advertised. Very flimsy and generally a waste of money. You’re better off paying real money for the proper stuff
