Used to cut hydraulic brake cable for mountain bike
I bought this to cut the brake hoses(specifically Shimano SM-BH90) on a new set of hydraulic brakes for my mountain bike. This hose cutter done the job perfectly, cut through the hose with mo issues and left a perfect, clean end to insert the barb into. Don't know how it would do with thicker hose but these were alot cheaper than the branded make(usually park tool) and I can't see how the branded ones could do a better job. If you're looking at them for sorting out hoses on a push bike I'd definitely recommend(though I wouldn't cut the outers for gear/cable brakes with them, they're lined with metal and these wouldn't do the job at all)

Cheap and does the job
Great for cutting hydraulic hoses for Shimano disc brakes. A lot cheaper than similar items. For something that you only use occasionally going a bit cheaper probably makes sense

Easy, neat cut for rubber braided fuel hose
Cheap and ideal for my purpose which is occasional use working on motorbikes and cars for fun. Made great cuts in fuel hose with fabric braiding. Far easier and neater job than faffing with a Stanley knife/box cutter.

Looks like it’ll break after 1st use
Not very robust, ordered 06/10, delivered 19/12 a month past returnable date.It took so long to deliver, I forgot I’d ordered it.Very poor

Nice but not very durable
Looked great, cut small nylon tubes easy (3-6mm OD). small rubber fuel hose too. Nice and clean straight cuts. But using it to cut some 13mm OD quality fuel hose and it broke after 4 cuts..Now I realise it's not the biggest bit of kit and I didn't try and force it to cut.. just gentle squeezes and allow it to do its job..The 2quid cantilever cutters last longer than this.. even though their blades blunt quickly..Disappointed...

Minuscule and overpriced...
Very small and only suitable for the smallest and weakest lines. Not recommended!
