Clean taste, uplifting, not as earthy, short steep time
The media could not be loaded. 4 starts because I'm used to black teas offering a lot of steeps. This one lasts maybe about 4 and then starts to go flat. My water was 208F (beginning boiling temp) 2 first pours were bold, last 2 pours more subtle with a cleaner aftertaste. Great perk up afternoon tea. not so full though like a Darjeeling or Pekoe. More so like a Feng Qing but not as strong.

Disappointing
Tea is an interesting beverage. If you use too much leaf or steep it too long the tea can be bitter, astringent. Not enough leaf or not enough time steeping and the tea is tasteless, disappointing. Knowing this, I experimented with various steep-times and various combinations of leaf but to no avail. This tea was just tasteless no matter how I made it and I ended up throwing away 98% of it.

Doesn’t taste good
This Grade B batch tasted very flat, thinner, hard to find sweet notes, Qimen aroma was nonexistent. On positive note, the color of tea was pleasant - clear yellow reddish in teacup.

Very unique flavor
Read the website about this and other teas in this series. What they say about the flavors is true. They are really unique and unusual. Definitely worth a try. A bit pricey to have every day!

Smooth flavor profile that is barely sweet to me; just delicious; brews to a gorgeous caramel
At first I did not find the directions on the package on how to brew this tea so I brewed it like any black tea with boiling water and steeped for 4 minutes. I used one teaspoon full in about 10 ounces of water. The resulting brew is a gorgeous caramel color and the flavor is smooth with just a hint of sweetness. I usually never brew tea more than once but I brewed this one two times and it was just as good as the first time. I absolutely love this tea.Note that there are brewing directions on the Amazon site but they differ slightly from what is on the box; directions are not on the foli package. The Amazon site says to brew 0.18 ounces of tea in 10.1 to 11.8 fluid ounces of water at 194 degrees Fahrenheit and steep for 2 to 3 minutes and it can be brewed up to 3 times. The box says to use 5g tea with 350ml of 90 degree C water and soak to drink. Apparently 5g is equivalent to 0.176 ounces; 90 degrees C is 140 degrees F and soak to drink is a guess in minutes.Note this comes with one serving of Cha Wu [A] Keemun Black Tea along with a clip to keep the tea fresh in its foil pouch.I absolutely LOVE this tea. It has a lovely flavor, is very smooth and not harsh on the palate, and is a beautiful brew.

Classic sweet and mellow Keemun from Cha Wu WarmSun
Cha Wu WarmSun has become one my favorite purveyors of tea. I've enjoyed each of the teas of theirs that I've been fortunate enough to sample. This is a classic Chinese Keemun and like all of this company's teas that I've tasted, it is excellent. Keemun is produced exclusively in Qimen County in the south of Anhui province, China. The tea cultivar used for Keemun is the same as that used in the production of Huangshan Maofeng, an old, well-known variety of green tea that I also sampled recently. That green tea from Cha Wu WarmSun had a delicious complexity with some of the same traits of the oxidized Keemun leaves. The oxidation process provides many of the flavors that distinguish this Keemun, especially its malty sweetness and its stone fruit notes.I brewed it in cup using one teaspoon of tea. Adding freshly boiled water that I'd allowed to cool for 2-3 minutes down to 185-195 degrees, I steeped the tea for 3-4 minutes, slightly longer than recommended because I prefer a stronger flavor. This Keemun has an enticing floral and stone fruit aroma. Its flavor also has floral notes along with that of stone fruit like apricot and peach. There are also flavor notes of malt as well as a honeyed sweetness at the finish. The color of this Keemun tea is a deep auburn orange. You can add milk and honey to this tea if you like, but I prefer to drink tea of this high quality straight and unencumbered by other flavors. The bottom line: this is one of the finest Keemun teas that I've sampled and I strongly recommend it for its excellence.

Lovely mellow Keemun with delicate leaves
Cha Wu-[A] Keemun Black Tea Loose Leaf: $29.88 at the time of reviewMy tea intake has really gone up since I started working from home. In search of a little variety, I came across this Keemun. This is my first time trying a tea from Cha Wu Warm Sun but it looked so good that I just have to give it a shot.*What I liked*:The brew is a really pleasant golden tone with sweet floral notes. I don’t really get any woody undertones, but I don’t mind that as I wasn’t looking for them. The tea comes vacuum-sealed for freshness, which is nice (though I wish the bag was resealable).Everything comes packaged in a cardboard box, which is important, as I found the tea leaves to be delicate and easily crushed (even in the vacuum sealed bag).*What I didn't like*:Honestly, nothing. This is a lovely brew that made for a delightful morning cuppa.Normally, I’d mention price here, as it’s nearly $10/ounce (quite a bit more than I normally pay). But this is an expensive tea so it’s to be expected.*The Bottom Line:*I really like this tea. It's somewhat of a step out of my norm, as I drink so much tea during the day that I don’t go for the spendier options. But I really liked it. Five stars out of five. I would order this again, as a special treat.
