My dogs are older dogs and I want to do everything I can to keep them active, healthy and pain free.I have one stray and one shelter dog so I have not had them since they were puppies. So, for most of their adult life I have had them on multi-vitamins for dogs. In addition, I try to feed them a healthy diet.A while back I decided to add fish oil to their diet and selected a liquid salmon oil thinking that would be easy to mix into their food. Occasionally I feed them tuna or salmon and they wolf that right down.Was I surprised when they smelled their food which contained the Salmon oil and would not eat it.I received the Omegeffect soft gels a few days ago and was a little concerned that they would eat them due to the size of the soft gel. But, I have had no problem getting them to eat them along with their food.I liked the fact that the Omegeffect is recommended by veterinarians and the benefits listed are all things that I think my dogs need help with (shiny, thicker coat, dry itchy skin, stiff joints, heart and brain health).I have a neighbor who has a flop-eared hound that is having some lung problems and is on some medications prescribed by the vet. He visits and eats at my house and another neighbor's house which will make it easy to feed the Omegeffect soft gels to him also. I started him on them yesterday and even though it may not help his lungs I believe it can help keep his immune system strong and since he is an outside dog help keep him with a warm, healthy coat of hair. He does have a nice dog house at his owner's home but he still gets out and runs the community visiting on cold days.Guess I'll have to order a bigger bottle now that I know everyone will consume them when they eat.

Shipping was fast. My two dogs are finicky eaters and wouldn't put the gel caps in their mouth. They eat a dry dog food so that posed a problem in how to get the fish oil cap in them. I wasn't interested in pushing it down their throats every morning so I decided to puncture the gel cap with a small pin. That part of the problem solved but what to put it in that they would eat it. They turned their noses up at the smell so wouldn't lick it off my hand. Second half of the problem solved and they want to thank you because instead of getting the Milk Bone type of treat only when they are good, they will be getting them every morning. I simply laid one for each on a tissue and squeezed the fish oil down the top of the treat. They loved that idea. Both dogs have a dry skin problem that has them taking benadryl and me applying lotions every few days. Hoping that this fish oil will ease some of the problem with that but the fact that they are getting more balanced vitamins than available in the generic dog food they eat, I am very pleased. Just wish there was a better choice than the gel caps. Maybe in a squeeze tube so I don't have to waste the fish oil when I puncture the gel cap.

For some reason, my dogs don’t seem to like this brand as much as they liked a snip tips brand I was using before. This brand was cheaper so I thought I’d give it a try, but I think I’ll go back to the other brand. The dogs will actually spit them out on the floor or back into their food bowls! The only way I can really get them to eat it is to cover it in something “yummy” to fool them into eating it, like with a regular pill.

No issues have used this product for awhile

I have a 12 year old (beige) Greyhound mix . Ever since I rescued him at the age of 5 months he had a very bad shedding problem. Over the years I have tried multiple products, natural oils, etc and absolutely nothing helped.I know, that every dog is different and responds to different supplements , but I just could not find anything that would remotely help.About 6 months ago I found this product and thought:"why not." I did not realize it at first, but as the weeks went by I noticed a lot less dog hair on my dark carpets. Than I put one and one together and realized - it is the new capsules.I am in 7th heaven with this supplement and so is my dog. Almost no shedding, his coat looks a lot better and way less itching and scratching.I also noticed great improvement with his arthritis issues. He seems to be able to move better,is more steady on his feet and does not moan and groan as much as he used to when getting up.Thank you Omegeffect !!!!!

Our boxer pit mix is very prone to allergies and recently we discovered she's allergic to lamb. This triggered a pretty bad reaction which left her with scabs and losing hair. We had taken her to the vet but all they gave was a (pretty expensive) spray for hot spots. That didn't do much so after a bit of research we decided on a change of diet and Omegeffect.After 3 weeks on the Omega-3 and her new diet (salmon based dry food) the change has been noticeable. Itching has subsided and her skin has healed pretty nicely. The most prominent change has been her coat which is a lot glossier and softer than in the past. We also got our little cocker spaniel taking Omegeffect and have seen same results on his coat. He actually loves the pill so much that he'll fish it out of his food bowl and eat it before he eats his kibbles!

I bought this to give to my cardigan corgi when we go on road trips. He usually gets salmon oil from a pump every morning but it's too much of a hassle to try to keep it cold for up to 6 hours at a time and I'd rather not risk it spoiling. I give him the oil as a sort of diet supplement since he doesn't get enough fat and becomes constipated. With the oil, he can pass easily and with less strain.These pills do exactly what I wanted them too. I cut open 3 of them for his breakfast and he was able to pass like he would with the liquid/pump. Even though he is about 50lbs, almost all muscle, I think he may only need 2 pills worth as his stool wasn't as solid as it should have been. He didn't seem to have any reactions to it and had no problem eating it.
