Beautiful Feeder
I have only had this feeder for a couple of weeks now, and it is still early June, so no hummingbirds yet. Feeder is quite beautiful and seems to be well made. It is like a piece of art in the backyard. My husband is very picky about what goes in the yard and he even thinks this was a great addition. Unlike most of the companies I buy from on Amazon, this one actually let me use the product a little before seeking a review. They also sent along a list of interesting facts about hummingbirds....didn't know they weighed less than a nickel. The best way I can think of to describe the size of the feeder is, imagine that you rounded out a standard sized pickle jar, that is about how big the globe part is. Even with the globe full of liquid, it is not too heavy, and will hang nicely just about anywhere. If these colors are not for you, the company (Grateful Gnome) makes plenty of other similar feeders in various colors. Can't wait for the hummingbirds to find it :).UPDATE: Last summer I placed the feeder in the shade, at the edge of the tree line. It was very close to other bird feeders. I thought this was a good place because it would keep the liquid from getting too hot. Well, I never got one hummingbird, but I sure got plenty of ants!! It was a gross mess, but I kept up with it hoping for the best. I think maybe the bigger birds and squirrels kept the hummingbirds away. This year, I researched and found that it is fine to keep the feeder in the direct sunlight, so I placed it on the deck. Because the feeder is so close to where I usually sit, I decided to place it out the day I left for vacation to give the birds a chance to find it without a lot of noise or activity. When I arrived home there were no ants, so yay!!! My first morning back I had a hummingbird feed just a few feet away from me, and they have come back every day since. The red flower petals on the feeder did fade significantly the first summer, despite being in full shade. I painted them with a red nail polish and it looks great again!!

Beautiful Feeder
I do not know why this item has yet to be reviewed, but I am most pleased to be the first. I have only had the feeder one full day and already it is a proven winner. Although the hummingbirds were a bit skeptical at first, they quickly warmed up to the new feeder. I am very happy with the feeder although the color of the glass globe is lighter and brighter than what is shown on the Amazon website. Also, mine did not have as many painted flowers as the one shown and the base on mine is a silver color and not the copper look shown. Possibly the base may tarnish over time. However, neither of these is a bother to me, as I find the feeder to be very pretty and does attract the hummingbirds. Please note, that the birds will try to peck at the painted flowers of the globe before finding their way to the metal flowers on the base. The dimensions of this feeder are as follows: Height from top to bottom of base is approximately 7". The hook will add another 6". The glass globe has a circumference of 14 1/4" and the base, to include the feeder rests, is 7 1/2" across. The glass globe screws into the base which is comprised of the metal cover and a red plastic bottom. The red bottom also helps to attract the birds. Cleaning and filling is fairly easy, just keep in mind that if there is any liquid in the glass globe, it will spill out from the base when you turn the feeder over. Not really a problem for me. Bottom line, I do love this feeder. I apologize for the poor quality of my photos.

The colors and pattern are very nice and I have no issues with the quality
It is one of the first things I look at every day. The colors and pattern are very nice and I have no issues with the quality. The hummingbirds are CRAZY for it. They literally fight each other for a place at it. It's nice having a feeder with perches, as the birds do take advantage of them. For whatever reason I was under the impression that it was completely unique and hand-blown in the US of A - which it may be - but the box said made in China. Not a deal-breaker - just surprising. The mass-suicide of ants that make their way into it is a bummer, but I believe I will add a simple ant catcher to the top to alleviate that mess.Edit: 9-25-17One year later, and still going strong. I got an ant catcher that did alleviate the original issue, as expected. The biggest reason for my update is not about ants - but about the durability. I've raised my initial review from 4 stars to 5 stars. The reason being is that little glass feeder has hit the ground after a fall of of over 15 feet, not once, but TWICE! We have critters in our yard. Which makes sense considering we're on 2.5 acres. I know a raccoon had managed to remove it from its hook the first time, and I believe an opossum got to it a couple nights ago. Both times, the glass has survived perfectly, and the only damage has been to the metal perches. However, each time, only one or two perches has bent, and can be easily pushed back into place. The metal perchas are very rugged. I can't believe how strong this thing is overall. Also, the hummers still love it, and battle to be on it (I should buy another one) and the antcatcher I've installed on top of it also doubles a drinking fountain for all kinds of birds.See the photo to see how far it drops.
