It’s worth the effort and fits like a glove.
I’m an Aircraft mechanic and am super picky about everything. This shield is a simple piece of 1/8 inch aluminum that fits on the aluminum crossbars in front and after the super expensive OEM catalytic converter. It took longer to jack my Prius Prime up and place the jack stands than actually installing the shield. The design is perfect and clever with the use of pop rivets and Phillips screws to hamper any thief from using a battery powered saws all to cut your converter. It’s worth the hassle for the long term piece of mind. Take pictures of your catalytic converter if you are in a state that requires visual inspections for emissions. Otherwise, they might fail you at the next emission test.

Didn’t fit my car
I own a 2020 Prius XLE. This shield didn’t work for me because the car doesn’t have a rear reinforcement brace bar, which is required to install this. That’s an extra $80 part I’d have to buy. Plus, this shield requires that holes be drilled into the frame to attach it. Also, the instructions are terrible. I returned it, and ordered a different one that uses the car’s existing bolt holes. Much better design.

Perfect fit, easy to install
This is 1/16" thick aluminum, so a persistent thief can always find a way. However, this should encourage the thief to move on.Using binder clips easily holds the panel in place to line drill the holes for mounting. Hardest part is getting under the car.Not sure why people have given this bad reviews. Product looks identical to other more expensive ones and came well packaged and undamaged.I realize that the newer Prius is not a good target for Cat theft, however to prevent the damage a thief might do before he realizes this is not worth it is a small price to pay.

Perfect fit; great price compared with other shields for other vehicles
Great price compared with shields for other vehicles. Apparently an easy install for the mechanic.

This shield was a perfect fit for my 2018 Prius.
The biggest trouble that I had was getting under the car to install it in the first place. I tipped the car up by jacking on one side and putting the wheels onto steel ramps for safety and stability. That left me room to get under and drill the mounting holes and install the shield. Installation is not for someone that doesn't know which end of a screwdriver to hammer with, but it was not difficult with the correct tools. (drill, pop rivet gun, Phillips screwdriver and nut driver)

Useless for Prius Prime 2022
This piece is not easily installed. In fact, it cannot be installed. I reached out to multiple repair shops to get it done, but the charge would be excessive to install it. If you are planning on using this for a Prius 2022, just don't.

A relatively inexpensive deterrent to protect your expensive catalytic converter!
A relatively inexpensive deterrent to protect your expensive catalytic converter! I found the installation to be fairly straight forward. I installed it myself and it was "fiddly" to hold for the initial use of self-tapping screws. I finally settled with 5 pieces of wide painters masking tape which worked well. I drilled the holes for the pop rivets using tape at 1/2" wrapped around the bit to prevent the drill from penetrating too deep. The riveting works great and cinched the plate to place. The reason I gave only four stars was for the use of the nonremovable sheet metal screws for the remaining holes not secured with rivets. I found the screws difficult to run all the way tight before they Phillips head slots in the screws stripped. I tried different, extremely good Phillips head screwdriver's But I always only got 3/4 of the way in before they started stripping. I ended up placing rivets in all the places because they work so well. The only downside is if and when somebody legitimately needs to remove the plate, it will be much more difficult!
