used them outside around my bay window ,porch and car porch and were easy to put up and also to take down after xmas,a huge plus,very bright good remarks from neighbours all in all price quality,i dont think these lights can be beaten,will know better next xmas.only minus remote can be a bit fiddly but price paid am more than happy.well done ollny

These look great once I got them to unravel. They were like detailing a slinky the way they were revelled together, not fun in minus 9 degrees c! This is why only 4 stars. I used these around my decking. I've decided to leave them up as they look lovely as a general decoration and lighting. I do recommend these as they are great, just be careful as you unravel.

Very good product, prompt delivery, easy to install.Had an issue with first set, but support was superb - which is why I would buy again!

I'm using these as a low energy method of lighting our parking area. Very effective and, so far, doing what they are supposed to. The only downside I've found is that the remote control is IR, not RF. You therefore need line of sight, which I don't have due to having the lights out in the elements and having the mains connection and control unit in a weatherproof box. That said, once set on the timer, they need no further input, so no a great problem. Far better than solar powered version I tried first.

Much thinner than anticipated. Thought they’d be more like rope lights sealed in a case. Hope they do the job as they will be used as part of our Santa run

They looked fine, but I chose them because they said they were ip67 rated. When they arrived they said they were ip44. The weather is harsh here and ip44 lights never last long.I contacted the company and they said that the plug is ip44, but that the strand is ip67. There are no stamps of indicators of this on the item or in the paperwork, but I decided to keep them and see how they do since I have a waterproof box for the plug.They are horrible to unravel, though I tried to be very careful. The second strand I unwound and wrapped around a piece of wood first, which made them much easier to work with.They look nice once they are up.

It is important to read all the information and study all the photographs and information very carefully. There is no doubt that what we got was what we ordered. However, the wire looks much frailer than in the photographs and the actual lights are much smaller. We bought it to replace a traditional rope light outside. Having received it we decided that it was ok and possibly useful for elsewhere in the home. We did however buy a more traditional rope light to use outdoors. The remote works well and the lighting effect are good. Not as bright as I thought and the different brightness settings seem irrelevant as most would want them on the brightest setting.
