Dinos for a 5th grader
I purchased this book as a prize for a 5th grade boy during a recent school dinosaur project. He needed something more advanced than the basic books you can get for children in the "all about dinosaurs" or the "100 dinosaurs to know" genres. He picked this one out himself and it should be enough to challenge him for a while. I think that it covers a lot of good topics, especially in the "how did scientists figure it out" category. It is now an older book, but covers all the way up to the discoveries in China that document dinosaur feathers,Montana finds that document dinosaur communal life and parenting (Maiasaurus and others) and discusses whether dinosaurs were warm blooded.

A fact-filled eye-opening book packed with information reference with a A to z guide of all sorts of different species
In the past weeks of only done a couple of reviews on prehistoric dinosaur infomation reference books which were equally as in-depth in knowledge information as this eye-opening one is to read and are invaluable reference for their easy-to-use factual profile and extravagant fantasy illustrations of all sorts of dragon-like creatures from a misty hazy past long ago in short review that i wrote for dinophiles and people crazy about dinosaurs who you would naturall'y call obsessed into dinosauria mania which has existed forever since their myth and legend has surfaced into people's lives.

Eyewitness books, always top quality
Purchased for our son the budding paeleontologist, this book is of the same excellent quality as other Eyewitness books in our family library. Many hours have been spent learning the scientific names of dinosaurs in the book, always a challenge to the Latin-impaired. Great illustrations, excellent information. We'd expect no less from DK.

A fascinating, knowledgeable support for my then future career
When I was seven years old, I decided to be a paleontologist when I grew up. I actually stuck with it and achieved my dream. I remember reading this particular, beautiful, well-written and accurate book for leisure when I was about 14 years old. Even if I had decided on a different profession, I would still have found this book interesting and very understandable. The author writes to a diverse audience without dumbing anything down. I read it cover to cover and is a wonderful memory from my childhood. Definitely one of my favorite non-technical (as in, non-textbook) nonfiction books!

Men beetwen dinosaurs
Norman's Dinosaur! brings the Paleontology to life by telling this science history with vivid descriptions of the first dinosaur fossil hunts and interpretations in the first charpters, so the reader may follow how the facts and toughts about the dinosaurs evolved and understand their importance to the modern man and it`s an almost unique approach. Norman proceeds by showing how the dinos arose, how they lived, their classification and some extinction hypotesis. The book is very well written and beautifully ilustrated, presenting scientific information for all kinds of readers that whant a better general view, except if you are looking for a real schoolar text. Due to all of it, it is an excellent book by this price and a must for everyone who would like to know more about the terrible lizards.

Great DINOsaur book...
I appreciate this book because it gives you drawings and paintings of how prehistoric creatures lived millions of years ago. It gives a perfect understanding of the study and also art of Paleontology. This book is, in my opinion, 1 of 2 of my most favorite books ever published for the scientific review of more than just a few species...This concludes my review.
