Love
For the price it's great I noticed a lot of people complaining but I love it it lets out good heat and it looks good I know other people are complaining about the fire not looking real but I mean it's not real so I don't know what you would expect but yes I would buy it again.

Electric stove
Nice looking with surround glass. You can either use the heat control or just the ambiance of the flaming logs. Logs don't look as real as my old charm glow but for the price I approve

Very Disappointed
The flame effect is awful; not realistic looking at all. The screen lights up whitish even when dim and the flames are lemon yellow with no mix of orange whatsoever. Even if the so-called flames were the right color they look like projected squiggles of light and don't look like real flames at all.

Nice Unit
I have a Veranda, an addition I built onto the house. A lot of the outer wall is glass. During the winter I have a natural gas vent less heater on the wall. It turns the room around rather quickly, but creates a problem in developing moisture clouding the windows which they are known to do. This is an electric heater that has no such problems. So, in order to turn the room around quickly, I turn on that one, turn on the fan to get the heat down from the ceiling, and then turn it off, and turn on this electric fireplace stove that puts out a nice amount of heat. You can park it pretty close to you, and enjoy the warmth, and the ambiance of the glowing logs and flame even though they aren't real. It does present a very nice look and creates the atmosphere you would normally associate with a fireplace. I like that you can turn on the light show without the heat; that makes it a year around display. The one thing I noticed and this is a passing concern is that when you first turn it on there is a faint chemical smell. It could be just the high temp paint baking in. I'm sure it will pass after it runs for a little while. The fact that you have so much control over this is wonderful. You can adjust the brightness with a variable speed dial flame dimmer control. There are also two temperature settings utilizing 1000 watts and 1500 watts. You also have a built-in thermostat by adjusting the temperature setting. You can use it whenever you want with the handy on-off switch. One final thing worth noting is that in the Specifications on the page it says, "Remote Control... Yes" but on the bottom of the listing it says "Control... Knob Control" which is accurate; it does not come with a remote control which is not a problem for me because it is just like the other electric space heaters I have; I simply adjust it right at the heater. I usually don't change heat settings that much.I really like that the glass side panels are there for viewing as well as the glass on the front doors. It really looks good. All you have to do to get up and running is installing the legs. They come in a bag with the screws. A phillips head screwdriver is all you need.I'm getting a bigger one to insert into the fireplace in the living room and getting rid of the wood stove. Hauling all of that wood around, the occasional smoke, and periodic cleaning have become a nuisance at my age. I do love wood and stoves though.

Steel body and door pulls, plastic doors with glass panelsrs
If been using this as my personal heater on brisk nights on my covered patio, I love it! The body is made of sheet metal steel with a low textured satin finish, and easy to wipe off. The doors, coal bed, log grate, legs and flame panel are made of plastic. The doors and legs are thicker plastic and the doors have a magnetic latch. The handles are made of steel and in a fixed position. The windows are on 3 sides made of glass and don't appear to be tempered, so they will break in large pieces instead of a million little ones. This is lightweight and can easily be picked up from its top, there is enough overhang my fingers fit perfectly. This has a hidden forced heat outlet on the bottom, you can see it from across the room. It shoots hot air straight out, so your carpet or flooring doesn't get hot. This heats our 14' x 14' bedroom with low vaulted ceilings and the door closed in about an hour. Beginning at 50 degrees and heated to 70 degrees. It's great for small room heating or 2 people in front of it. This looks nice enough to keep out year round and you can use the flames and coal bed as ambiance. The remote control actually says fireplace on it so it won't get mistaken. It has enough reach I can use it from my bed about 10' away. You can also control it with the hidden panel behind the right side door. You only have to install the legs and door handles, it comes with everything needed. I'm happy with it and believe you will be also.Hopefully this was helpful, Thank you!

Heater
I like the look of this heater and the heat output is pretty good. There is no remote and no thermostat. There is a knob that you turn lower or higher to adjust the heat setting. If the knob is set lower, the heat will turn off when the room reaches a certain temperature so there must be a sensor of some type. I'm using the heater on a sun porch that doesn't have a lot of insulation so I'm pleased overall with my purchase.
