Forged in Smoke (A Red-Hot SEALs Novel Book 3)

The 3rd book in this series for me. So far no others have been published but there is plenty of potential that is hinted at – and the story has not been competed as this book finishes – in fact a new conspiracy is discovered at the very end which leaves ST7 in a very strange place indeed.We do find out who is behind the first conspiracy and also some of their justifications – all to do with the special project that the 7 scientists had been working on and its potential uses. It can clearly be used for good but it seems that it has other possible uses, more indeed than is originally thought of.We learn what has happened to Embray, the person responsible for the project being worked on, and it is worse than originally thought – again, the conspiracy behaves in a way you would not thought possible.Some new mental and physical abilities are demonstrated and a ghost appears. And a romance is begun.All the members of the ST7 will be hitched by the time this series ends of course. It’s just who they will fall for and why.We learn more of each characters’ family and their lives before they joined up which explains a lot of their behaviour and thought processes. We also learn gradually about their hang-ups and their their strengths. Centring each book on a particular pair means that we are continually given a new perspective on what is happening.

I am a massive fan of this series and was delighted to see smoke had been released,I feel like it's been forever since I read ash. Do not be put off by the series name, I know it suggests that we are going to be reading about men who should be respected but instead we are just going to hear about how hot they are and how well they perform in the sack! This is not the case and I cannot reiterate this enough! This story has more depth than a sink hole! Our heroes are warriors, deep, compassionate men who love their country almost as much as they love each other.This series will grab you from start to finish and leaving you aching for more, we have drama, conspiracy theories, betrayal, love, respect and yeah a few hot men who perform well in the sack lol. While the series does deal with adult content it is dealt with class and not crass and it doesn't dominate the books. Also there is a paranormal element to the series but again this is not what this story is based on so if paranormal is not your thing then fear not, Trish will not ram it down your throat. I can not wait for book number four! Until then I will patiently await some more free novellas via Trish's newsletters.

I already had the first two books in the series and I read them again before venturing into this one as it has been some time since I read them. it was great following through the story from book 1. Book 3 did not disappoint in fact I think this was the best one yet, (although all 3 are on an equal footing in my opinion). This one takes the reader further into the story that started in book 1 with the SEAL team and their women getting nearer to the 'bad guys' - or are they? The problems continue and poor Rawls is put through hell with his experiences, an interesting twist to the story. Some unexpected allies help out too. A well written novel and the author has you riveted right to the end. I didn't want it to finish. I am now waiting 'patiently' - well trying to - for book 4.......

The team are in deep and once again chasing Ghosts and conspiracy theories. They would do better if they knew who the enemy were and who they could trust. The force against them is evil and will stop at nothing to get what they want, even the betrayal of a sister in the worst possible way putting both her and her children in the line of fire. This band of brothers don't need to go looking for trouble it comes banging very loudly at their door. It's a miracle that somehow Zane and Cosky have found their soul mates with Mac and Rawls on their six without realising it . Kait's ability to heal has never been in such demand and thankfully she is able to lead the team to safety but only for a little while. Someone is betraying them but who and why is only one of the questions needing urgent answers. Great story Great value from a descriptive author. Can't wait to see how it all pans out

Another book by this talented author and I have enjoyed reading Faith and Rawls story but I did find at times some of the chapters were quite repetitive. I was also sorry that the author chose to make Faith's character quite annoying at times especially with her persona of a trained scientists . This wasn't my favourite story of the series and I would recommend anyone to read re- read from book one as it will make the storyline flow a lot easier, I purchased the first two and then had to wait for the next two books to be written.
