Abu Garcia Revo Rocket Spinning Reels

I've had 2 Revo Rockets and my fishing partner has had 2 and we both have had the same issue over the past couple of years.. We use them to to fish for Large-mouth Bass and Peacock Bass. We fish virtually every weekend and we throw a lot of artificial baits. As advertised this reel has a fast retrieve and a smooth drag. The only knock is that with a lot of use they only last about a year. The bearings are the the first to go and then the spring in the bail will break. If you fish let or use more live bait the reels will last longer.

Hi all I'm an avid fisherman I'm 60 years old and have had a fishing pole in my hand from the time I can remember. I fished with all kinds a rods and rails and this one is far superior. It's the 7 to 1 ratio that makes the difference you could get just that much more action on your lures that you can't get with other reels. So go out and buy your brother write your review and I hope you love it just as much as I do.

i had this reel for a month or so it was my fav reel i use it to catch bait for catfishin and tossing jigs and raps for walleye.. the line pickup is the best ive ever seeen i think that your acidntly reeling faster than you think and in my opinion it helps trigger bites from fish... the only set back is that it didnt hold togather when i ran it over with my 1ton dodge cummins rear tire

WARNING - after you get used to this reel if you had any former favorites you'll end up never using them again.Awesome reel, even if Amazon sent me the wrong one costing me a couple hundred bucks in a missed fishing trip due to not having the correct gear to bring with me.Would highly recommend buying this reel, but due to this order flubbing up so terribly I'm not going to renew Prime.

Purchased for a fishing trip to Wisconsin. Loaded it with 12 lb mono on a Garcia medium-heavy rod. Did not intend to use it exclusively, but per- formed so well on first day used it enter week. Caught several Northerns and Walleyes on 4 to 8 inch lures. Worked just as well for Crappie and Perchon 2 to 3 inch crank baits. Just returned, I intend to purchase another.

My absolute favorite. I’ve used a wide variety of different spinning reels and after much research and back and forth decided to get this one. It’s smooth as can be, casts great (using Fluorocarbon) and is light as a feather. All around it’s my favorite reel! Would highly recommend it and plan on purchasing another in a larger size down the road.

This $160.00 reel had visual damage (scratches, dents, and paint missing) upon opening the box.Also, as a lifelong fisherman, knowing my equipment, I can hear the bearings scraping as I reel the reel.Its loud when you crank it, as if I've owned this reel and used it without maintenance and lubrication for the past year or two. Also, it came to me without a spare spool. It was advertised having a spare spool!!!?????I'm taking it to Mexico next week to fish for Largemouth Bass, so I have no time to replace it or return it.I'm sure it won't last a day on Lake El Salto, or Lake Piccacos. The best spinning reel I have ever purchased. Perfect for finesse bass techniques and drop-shot. Line pick-up speed is incredible.Paired this with an ARK Invoker 6'10" ML-EF rod and it balances perfectly. This will be my go-to finesse set-up for this season.
